Anakin I believe was too imbalanced to be able to defeat Yoda. True, his speed and power could defeat Yoda particularly as his experience and knowledge of Yoda would make him think. That being said, Yoda I think, is powerful enough and experienced enough to be one of the few to defeat him

true, however, I think Anakin only lost to Obi-Wan, due to his sheer hatred for him at the time. It was a personal loathing that made him reckless enough to attempt to attack him on the high ground. There would be less of a desire for personal revenge in the fight between Yoda and Anakin and, at that point, I believe Anakin was more than capable of defeating Yoda. After all, Anakin says that he is "more powerful than the Chancellor" to Padme, and Palpatine defeated Yoda

@hubertsmith2039 Depend how you view the fight between Palps and Yoda. Yoda had been I think, weakened by all that he had felt through the force as the Jedi fell. He clearly beat Palpatine in lightsaber combat. I think, he was close in regards to the force battle but this is where Palpatine has fhe edge. That being said, Yoda was certainly powerful enough and experienced enough ro defeat him and, I would think is one of the few who wouldn't underestimate Anakin but unlike Kenobi, would likely kill him. Then again, it's also possible he could have defeated him

Just because Anakin thought he was more powerful than Yoda and Palatine doesn't mean he actually was. After, Anakin was also know for overestimating his strength. Just like he did in his first encounter with Dooku.

@@hubertsmith2039 Anakin says a lot things, but they're nothing more than his personal opinion that is fueled by ego and overconfidence. The actual canon lore confirms he wasn't anywhere close to being a match for Yoda, Mace or Palps in RotS. He and Kenobi are stated to be perfect equals, and Yoda already confirmed Obi-Wan wasn't strong enough to defeat Palps. Anakin could definitely put up a fight, but he would ultimately fall to Yoda.

Yah he gets a happish ending. Is one of my favorite out comes ive thought up.prehappes. When Anakin burst in on the Emperor and Windu.seeing and sencing the blood lust in the two...He Force pushes Windu.And Is able too hold the weekend Emperor in submition.After all zipping around jedi Masters and fighting one ..has to take a toll.Anyway Working together under a calmer Anakin's lead .Windu lends the aid needed too keep there foe in check.Until help arrives. As reward the Republic over looks any crimes Anakin may have commited to that point.And reward him. Declaring him Gaurdion of the Republic..and a Grand Master of the Force. To Avoid conflict he is supplied with what he needs too Start and operate His own Jedi school.Teaching a less rigit form of force control.Although a smaller order is mantained due to his exprenss the temptation to the dark side is lesser with his students...Luke and Leia becoming his prized puples of course. Idk. Yoda was crippled, out of his prime, and had to use the force just to stalemate against Dooku. Anakin beat Dooku rather easily in Ep. 3... Obi-Wan also had to learn a forgotten style to match Anakins' skill, a style Yoda likely didn't know himself. Yoda was more interested in the force than he was in Saber dueling, Anakin was pretty much the opposite. However, Anakin still had strong force powers. IDK, I feel like Yoda wouldn't last too long against Anakin. He's too old, and I doubt he would have been able to sustain the force long enough to match Anakins' youthful energy.

At the time of mustafar yoda would most definitely have won against Anakin. However, as palpatine stated, Anakin would eventually surpass them both given his potential.

@@hydrospace1 That could very well be the case, especially since Anakin didn't like killing the Jedi (as shown by the fact that he didn't have sith eyes). However, this would only be the case if Obi Wan tried pretty hard to reason with Anakin. I doubt he would do this. He might try a little bit, but I doubt it would be more than he did on Mustafar. Obi Wan was seen as the perfect representation of the Jedi Order and because of that, he also shared it's faults. If he were to reason as much as Ahsoka (to the point where he'd be willing to sacrifice his own life), then there could be a good 50/50 chance. Other wise, I doubt it.

Honestly, I have no doubts that Yoda would beat Anakin, and wouldn't be afraid to finish him off either. I think there was a book or a comic in which Palpatine pretty much stated as much to Vader, that he was fortunate it was Obi-Wan and not Yoda that went to Mustafar to face him, as Yoda would have killed Anakin if and when he beat him.

Wow! This is interesting indeed. A part of of me wishes it did go this way and Anakin redeems himself, but another part is glad it didn’t. He does go to the light side of the force in the end, redeems himself and Luke saves the galaxy. The Star Wars saga is a tragedy. Full of life, death, and suffering and struggle. Anakin does bring balance back to the force, but not the way we wanted to. His story is a sad and heartbreaking one but it was necessary for his son to be the one to bring his father to the light side. For without it there wouldn’t be a Star Wars saga and a story that is epic and unforgettable.

He starts spouting all his Sith sht, "You shouldn't have come Master Yoda..." "I have become more powerful than any Jedi, even you..." , blah blah blah. Yoda doesn't say sht; just sits down and looks up at him with those big, froggy, pity-filled eyes. Then as Vader continues to trash talk and threaten, Yoda just sits there, closes his eyes in meditation and waits. Vader, filled with rage at Yoda's calm, lunges with his lightsaber with all his force might right down at Yoda's head. Yoda, with lightning force speed, scoots over about 3 feet to the side, focuses all his force power to pull the weapon out of Vader's hand, leaves it ignited, spins it at Vader's head, all in one millisecond motion....and Vader's lifeless, headless body thuds to the ground. Yoda opens his eyes, picks up his walking stick, and limps away. End of Star Wars as we know it.

I don’t foresee this battle ever taking place. Anakin respected yoda , yoda was the only one Anakin liked on the counsel besides obi wan, and it seems that yoda arrived at the time padme would have, at that time Anakin was crying, he was sad, he regretted what he did in the temple, he cried for that and for the person he used to be, it’s stated in both novels of ROTS and The Rise And Fall of Darth Vader. So yoda would’ve sensed this coming from Anakin, and he would’ve seen this and would’ve realized this isn’t what he wanted because in the novels it tells how Anakin didn’t want to control the galaxy, he didn’t want to kill everyone, he just wanted to save padme and that those were the cards he was dealt in order for him to save padme. He planned to kill sidious and destroy the sith after padme gave birth, he cared nothing for the sith, he just wanted his wife and kid to live. Yoda would’ve noticed this, well sensed it but this is why I don’t see the battle happening, because it was padme that set Anakin off and obi wan to fuel the flame, but yoda, yoda wouldn’t have set him off, he actually liked yoda, even as Vader he still appreciated yoda trying to help him in the clone wars, good story but I feel this route I’m speaking of makes way more sense
