What if Anakin was the one one to fake his death and go undercover to foil the plot to kidnap Palpatine. This would be funny seeing Anakin pretend to love Dooku and hate the Chancellor. You could even have Anakin go through Dooku’s files and find out palps is the Sith Lord

Don't think Obi-Wan as Hardeen ever got that far in regards to obtaining files from Dooku, so I doubt Anakin in that position would've done so either. If such a scenario were to be played out, got to think of not just how Anakin would handle himself undercover surrounded by Bounty Hunters (one of them being Cad Bane), but also how his "death" would affect those close to him. Especially Padme, Obi-Wan (depending on if he's in on it or not), Palpatine & Ahsoka in that regard.

Then, somehow, Anakin returned.... Joking, joking. A very nice story. A bit far-fetched as all theories tend to be because Anakin would sense Padme trying to kill him, but it turned out happily. A more realistic result would be him sensing Padme's betrayal and choking her to death, thus killing his children. Fueled by loss and pain he would immerse himself in the Dark side and wreck Kenobi. Soon he would destroy the Emperor and find a way to live forever. In his pain he might try to undo the past or double down on his choices.
