Fantom X How to change patches without cutoff

Most Fantom X users don't know that you can actually switch patches without them cutting off or cutting out. This tutorial is about changing patches without interruption the simplest way possible.

This is good but it doesn't really fix the problem... Surely you're going to want to have all the effects on a patch? Effects is what makes the patch sound good! Is there no other way around this?

The only other work around would be to send your outputs to an external effects processor. The Fantom x just didn't have the capability to switch patches without cut off back then.

@@fantomxtips6501 That's a bummer. One of the main reason I do like the G series is it doesn't cutoff even with the effects turned on. I was able to switch patches live during a recording session and the engineer was baffled..lol

Fantom X Tips sounds in patch mode sound a bit different than in Performance mode. why? i've disabled all fx's. it seems there is a different signal flow.

The best ways to achieve this is to assign the patches to the pads using sysex, check on roland clan forum
