Really glad you now have the time for document your experiences. I'm a gay male, but doing everything I can to fully understand the FTM transitional experience because I think it's one of the bravest life changing processes ever. I love how open and relaxed you are answering ANY question. It's seriously so helpful for those of us that want to learn about life as a transguy but don't know any. Haha, trippin' out with Bananagrams! I broke my collar bone when I was 14, and had to be on Vicodin for about a week afterwards. The first few days of that were spent with close family friends playing the most hilarious games of Apples To Apples I've ever experienced. XD Thanks for making this video! I'm having my top surgery in exactly three weeks from today, and am super excited but also really nervous! So it's nice to hear other peoples' experiences. However, the kind I'm having is neither the keyhole nor the double mastectomy--my surgeon is just going to cut a few small 1.5 - 2 inch incisions underneath on each side, and then take everything out without disturbing anything else. I was a little surprised, because I've never heard of this method of doing it before, but I really like the sound of the results (minimal scarring) if it goes over well and heals like it should. Anyways, you're looking great, and seeing a new video of yours pop up in the feed is always a pleasant surprise.

Hey, thanks for this video man! As someone going in for top surgery in April this helps quell my fears a little. I do want to ask though, when being put under anesthesia how was that? I ask because in all seriousness it's not the actual surgery that scares me but more being put under anesthesia (kinda odd, I know haha)

so exciting! well, for me, it literally felt like i just instantly fell asleep, and woke up with people piling ice ontop of my chest :) honestly just felt like sleeping. the anesthesiologist told me when he was going to be putting me under, but before i even had time to get nervous about it, i was waking up post surgery. i was confused if it had already happened or not!!

Think about what you just asked. Scar tissue never goes away, it just fades with age. And secondly asking if his chest will ever look 'naturally male' implies there is only one way for a guys chest to look. You just asked a pretty ignorant and rude question, try thinking before you type.

louielouie Clearly there is ignorance on my part (because I said so), so instead of insulting me. You should enlighten me (because you know better than I do) so I don't make the same mistake again. Being rude to people only causes more rudeness and more mistakes. So next time you see someone who is legitimately confused, I'm challenging you to calmly and positively explain to them what they are asking and be supportive. Things are never as obvious as they seem, and giving someone attitude because they don't know says more about you than it does about them.

There are three options actually. My cousin was able to get plastic surgery, where they take out the tissue through the arm pit. The scares are very small so I'm told. Im also trans and would like to get the plastic surgery option. All three have the same pain level, I believe. Im just putting this out there for other guys wanting options. I dont know much, but you guys could research if you want.

I almost clicked away from this but I heard "ace bandage" and an alarm went off in my head. I'm female, I hate being female but I don't think I could ever get enough courage to transition. I hate "boobs" so recently I've started using ace bandage to make me flat chested. I haven't experienced any breathing problems or anything but I thought I was the only one doing that

The safest and most comfy binders I have found were probably from lesloveboat depending on the one you get, but I guarantee from personal experience they feel and bind better then ace bandages. (More expensive though)

I'm not sure if you are comfortable answering this or not, but how does taking testosterone affect menstruation? Do you still get a period or does it stop or have an impact on that?

He had a hysterectomy so i'm assuming he doesn't menstrate anymore because of that, but i think when you take T it lightens your cycle or it tapers off. I don't know from experience but that's what i've heard.

well, originally i had said "transguys" and left it at that because i was speaking from my perspective as a transguy. BUT! upon listening to it before posting it, i realized that that is simply not true - since i know many genderqueer or woman or man identified beings who are really uncomfortable with their chests for whatever reason, i felt it was necessary to include anyone who may feel dysphoric about that part of their body. like i said, chests are one of the main visible expressions of our biological sex, and definitely the most prominent - thus, it makes sense that those who may be gender-variant or self conscious about their bodies may channel their dysphoria into their chests.

it has been a long journey for me, since my metabolism is so high since starting t, i have to eat so much protein to hang onto muscle. but lately it's been easier - i don't think i ever pushed myself far enough in college.

I need some advice, my mom is a huge christian, and everytime i try to explain transgender she doesn't understand, i am now 17, i appear as a guy but have no surgery . everyone i just meet thinks i am a guy. anyways, i am considered "mommy's little girl" and i just .. don't know how to come out.. any advice?
