Hi Everyone! Here are the Top Ten Questions with Quick Answers: 1. Do I have to use the same colour for all the Strip Borders? No! You can use all the same or vary it up 2. Is it a different Pattern Stitch each month? Yes! 3. Do I have to use the same colour for all of the Strips? No! You can use all the same or vary it up 4. How big will the blanket be? If you make it exactly as I do, approximately 44" wide x 60" long 5. How much yarn is needed? Each strip uses roughly 80 y for the pattern stitch and 80 y for the border 6. How do I make the strips longer? Continue to add rows to the pattern stitch until it's as long as you like. Be sure to write down this row count! 7. How do I make it wider? The easiest way to add width to each strip is to give them an extra row of border 8. Are all the strips going to be the same size? Same length yes, widths will vary slightly 9. Can I make an entire blanket using just 1 stitch strip pattern? Yes! Totally! 10. How do we join the strips? We are using the Join-As-You-Go method, but you can use any join method you like best Stitch Guides for this Pattern are available in our Etsy Shop - www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches

@suebob163 жыл бұрын
Jayda is demonstrating the join as you go technique in the February video, but you don't have to do it that way and can sew your strips together later if you want. There will be a new stitch pattern introduced each month for the strips. It will add variety to your blanket if you want to use them, but you don't have to. As long as you have 12 completed strips in the pattern or patterns you want you will be fine.

Question...am making two of these in the sizes you're teaching, Jayda. Love it so much that I want to make baby blankets. Does it matter how many rows of each strip I make? Wondering because it would stink to mess up the border. Judging from the three strips so far, seems like any number of rows would work, but checking with the expert 😉
@JaydaInStitches3 жыл бұрын
Hi! As long as they all have the same number or rows, it will be fine. So: Some of them have a finishing row (that squares off the top) but this is considered part of the TOTAL number of rows. In this case we're using 78 rows of pattern stitch, sometimes that includes a finishing row (77 plus finishing row = 78). 💗

Yes, it’s just because your tension is looser than Jayda’s. So long as all your strips end up similarly sized, you’ll be fine 🙂
