Hi, I'm currently upgrading my matric marks as a prerequisite for university. However, I recently found out that my application attempt is redundant due to financial issues. So in the interim I've applied to we think code as another route into software engineering. I'll be attending bootcamp soon but I'm concerned that being a student elsewhere would be a problem. I am more than willing to deregister upgrading my matric should the opportunity to be a cohort is presented.i would just like to know, have there been people who were occupied with other things but then were given the opportunity to leave whatever they were occupied with, in order to join or does we think code disqualify you immediately?

Hi, upgrading your matric is just a part-time commitment. So I think you should consider not deregistering from upgrading because your selection into the learnership has not been finalized. Bootcamp is only 6-days between the months of June and July, just afford yourself that opportunity since you have made it thus far. Also take note that after the bootcamps you will still have until September to strictly focus on the subjects that you are upgrading and you wouldn't want to sit idle not knowing how things will go. Closer to selection time then you can decide which route you would like to pursue. Like Sihle said they aren't concerned about your matric marks as such so maybe they do not check whether you are a registered student with the DBE or higher education but that's a situation you can explain if they ever find out, that you were keeping your options open. I think Sihle can also advice you on that😇

Yes it’s possible to do more than one thing but it has alot of cons and it’s extremely difficult especially if you are new to coding, I wouldn’t recommend. WTC requires you to be on campus 40 hours a week so if you can do that 40 hours and still complete your matric upgrade on the side then sure as long as it does not affect your attendance at WeThinkCode as well as your results and progress then go for it.

Hello, thanks for the video. I've been trying to book for step 4 for about 3 weeks now. I was told dates are updated on Monday 00:00, but been checking from this time still couldn't get any available date. Please, how to work around this issue?

@@theendlovusisters no, booking for 6 day selection. On the 13th I successfully booked for 19th to 24th period but haven't received the confirmation email. I tried mailing them for updates and still no response. I'm worried because it's just around the corner

Heyy, no there is no online bootcamp and you are required to be on campus 40 hours a week once accepted.
