We been gone for 22years in Australia. So we are Australian citizens.But we moved back for good in February.Luckily for us we bought our house in Noordhoek before we left.So we are happy to be back in Cape Town.

We sold our house in the Overberg in April. We were tired of the 3 hour drive back to Cape Town to see our families and it became very costly . We also tried to scale town by buying a smaller property. We finally found something we could afford in a decent area. As an attorney told us once. “If you want return on your investment it all comes down to location. Location! Location!“ Problem is it’s in desperate need of TLC. We moved in only this week and it’s been a long 3 months living with our children. They became tired of us living with them. This week we started giving our new home the TLC it so desperately needs. Hard work. Our furniture still in storage in the Overberg. But we are half way there. Glad to be back in CPT and in our own home.

Welcome home Adriaan Family!!! Im so excited. I cant wait to bump into you guys on the streets of Cape Town. I will defs say 'HELLO'. My husband and I have been through the exact same process. We move CPT to PTA , had our baoes theres, and the 5years later moved back to CPT for family and support too. We did the same thing, with regards to schools and it was a challenge. But once schools are found, you build around that. Its been 7 years now, and its been going well. However, PTA will always have our hearts, and it was an amazing city to stay in and start a family in. Would recommend it to anyone. All of the best! And can't wait for the nrw CPT adventures.

When you there please give us an update on, the difference between the two cities lol ofcourse🙈, the cost of living utilities lights water etc, the schools hospitals etc. How the service delivery is in comparison to jhb.... and other details that might shed light on your experience. Morning boet from a windy and wet Cape Town. Cape Town isn't expensive. I moved back to Cape Town this year after living in Gqeberha for almost 15 years and that phrase "Cape Town is expensive" is a myth. Trust me when i say it isn't. The only thing expensive is the rent and electricity. Food, schools, entertainment is the same as Jozi. Depending on where you staying food is actually cheaper. I stay in The South and i love it. So don't worry about, you will love it and see that it isn't expensive. Take care boet, hope to see you soon.

its hard we had truck comming last min got house 5 houses just waiting drive throu after truckstand up staterday 30 nov 2019 arived 9oclock every one help pack truck when we there we ofload and got food sleep next day orginice and fetch kids at airport(but truck left 20min later sone say his id in by drawer had to chase truck to get id next to hi way) we got house agent to sell every thing while packing and moving y sone was happy grade 10 h nt to stay in jhb but now he is very happy here almost 5 years here
