When the Manny Road end was rebuilt 30 years or so ago they runined all the drainage. Water use to flow into Starkies behind the stand and create quite a large pond, a metre deep. After the renovation the pond never reformed, just a bit of damp ground. That's why the pitch has declined over the years from being one of the best playing surfaces in the country to the state it's in today

Before you start any work on the Gigg Lane playing surface sort out the DRAINS. Clear the two main drain entrance areas behind the Cemetary End, if we don't you will be laying a 3G pitch on a blamanche. Open Starkies every evening to sell drinks and beverages to people that train or play on the pitch and also to parents etc, it should become a money maker. Form darts/ Crib teams to represent the Club team. Let's get this club sorted. Off to Rammy now. Let's get this Club promoted. UTS BTID OASAAS
