This was my first game in the Far Cry series. Took me an age to complete as don't often get onto the console, but finished on PS4 Pro, and now playing again on Xbox One S (hopefully Series X at some point). New Dawn was a good follow-up, using the post-apocalyptic version of Hope County and characters to mix up the familiar with the new.

The thing I'm worried about is the whole "Custom Character" thing. I feel if the game has a silent protagonist, it'll lose a lot of it's charm. The thing that made 3 great was the story of Jason's decent into insanity more so than stalking an outpost. Again in Far Cry 4, Ajay's growth from a meek an uninterested third party into a devoted freedom fighter (if misguided by the end) is what made it memorable. I don't know if Ubisoft is still going to have a chosen-voiced protagonist à la Saints Row, or if it's going to feature a voice based gender like Mass Effect, or if they're just going to abandon having a memorable main character all together. It's the last option that scares me.

ichangemyname youokaboutthat the problem is that are a whole different thing. BioShock is the story of Rapture just as much as it's the story of the player character. Far Cry has always had a voiced PC because the basis of the series is a person who is thrown into a dangerous situation and they have to rise to the challenge I'm order to survive. I'm not saying a game is bad if it doesn't have a voiced PC, just that previous, great Far Cry games have been good *because* of their main characters.

Okay I like the idea of complete character creation system but. Will we ever see out own characters wen playing the game? As in cutscenes, or can we change to third person view? Can we customise post creation as in clothing, hairstyle or such? Can we sheath/put away our weapons wen not in combat, or do we always point our guns at people in this first person mode? I personally don't like the removal of radio towers but I guess they're trying to make it feel less redundant. I enjoyed it because I liked the feel of traveling into the unknown and having to unfog the map to see your surroundings. Just made suddenly walking up on an enemy base that much more awesome.

Have none of you heard of an RPG game before? Fallout New Vegas has a shit ton of choice, and yet it tells a story, with a multitude of other backstories and side stories, and you're in control of how those stories play out. If this game does bad with the choose your own adventure it's not that it was a bad decision, it's that ubisoft simply doesn't know how to create a good game, and they have shown that having shit game play in a beautiful world with a good story line is all that a game needs, and that's only one singular story, all side stories are usually garbage and not worth doing. People who suck off the mainstream companies tit have never experienced a game that can actually deliver an awesome multilayed experience.

That series had one of the best storylines ever AND it featured a character creator. The only thing that was pre-determined was the characters last name. That's it. Jett Ankermann find a friend with a laptop capable of running 60fps farcry then start it on the ps4 and compare with naked eye, its painful. Games like doom/wolfenstein runs perfectly and smooth with 60fps on ps4 with very good graphics, if one can manage the other developers are lazy in my opinion. 30fps first person perspective is too laggy.

Taz Ali wrong.. they’ve added a lot of new features. Character customization, vehicle customization, melee weapons such as axes, baseball bats, crowbars, etc, and they’ve added dog fights, and fishing. Also there are several different companion characters that we can take out on missions and the game can be played completely in co-op.

1. New Map(obviously) This map deviates the most from the exotic locations we have seen in the past(unless you count primal or blood dragon) 2.Melee weapons. Many melee weapons have been added with their own animations and take downs. 3. All the new guns for hire. In the new game there was just hurk, now there are many differant choices to suit differant play styles. 4. Vehicles. This game expands on vehicles in ways we have not seen from far cry, such as adding vehicle customization, and planes. 5. Character customization. This has NEVER been seen in a far cry game. 6. Fishing just a smaller thing to do thats new. but i think its a cool little feature 7. Racing Racing has been expanded on with in universe lore, and made the races more entertaining instead of just randomly taking boxes to people under a timer. 8.Changing the way NPC interact with people, now we have random people you find on the road following you and helping you on quest. 9. New animals based on the reigon 10. The 3 planned DLC include us going back in time to a Vietnam time period, a zombie dlc, and a Mars dlc. If this point isn't different from other fc games, idk what else is. 11. Full co-op campaign 12. Removal of mini map and radio towers These two were removed to add a more fresh take on the sandbox "create your own moments" kind of game play we all love from far cry. No mini map will encourage more natural free roaming and discovery, and we now have to interact with people in the game to view parts of the map, instead of using radio towers. 13. The WHOLE map is open from the beginning. nothing is stopping us from exploring the whole map after the tutorial. 14. There seems to be A LOT more houses that can be entered, making for more varied gun fights. These are just some of the new additions i have observed from watching the stream. There comes a point when people dont want to see the changes for what they are, and want to blindly complain about the game being the same, but at the end of the day, New game should take what it already did right, and expand on it, not completely reinvent the concept of the game.

CRAZY AND THE NOOB From what I’ve researched no. Only the host will progress in area completed. BUT any XP, Weapons found, Ammo/supplies collected will carry back to your game. So meh kinda sucks but not too bad cause you could blitz your own game with all that loot and xp upgrades.
