I've never played a Far Cry, but one thing I love about this album is how it changes with repeat listenings. I know the story and everything for the game, but at first the music was just really cool and emotionally resonant. As the lyrics become more familiar as extensions of the cult though, there's this sense of revelry and madness that seeps into a lot of the songs, which is really apt and fun in an enticing way that kinda makes you want into the cult. Like "I want to be partying the way they do Build A Castle, sign me up." and it's really unnerving but cool.
@texasnord84873 жыл бұрын

If you played the game you would understand it but you say you know everything (probably from someone played and you watched, because probably he is looking very superficially, but everyone at the end if try to kill the Father understand that he has been saying the truth and the world ends because he said it) The game is deep and you could not understand it if you not play it. Your comment is not good as person played it 2 times I still see new things in the story. If i play it trird time Im sure I will find more about our world and the truth. And also a lot things are said in the songs.
@sb7920793 жыл бұрын
Seeing the comment by katsudon123, i was thinking…(sorry for the incoming wall of text) What matters is that they “believed” they were on the path to freedom from the world, and they thought everyone who thought otherwise was a sinner. But then i was like: “Wait? Then why assault all those sinners? There’s no point, they can just happily hide in their bunkers” Their cause sounds so exclusive, but they try so hard to expand, and attack the people who don’t join them. I thought that was a weird disconnect, and maybe a creative liberty because the player needs somebody to shoot. But the i thought, demonizing the sinners like that would give the cultists a common enemy, and an even stronger dependence on Joseph… i wonder if joseph advocated that thought for that purpose, and The devs had it thought out?

Russia's geography and history has always fascinated me, and it brings a smile to my face knowing games like this can bring so many together. It just so happens I live in Montana about an hour away from where this game is supposed to be set. Hope county while fictional, is set one hour away from Missoula Montana. Western Montana has some of the nicest people I have met, along with some of the greatest views. It is nestled in the rocky mountains within a valley that goes north to south, and while we have our fair share of problems I would still recommend living here. Farcry 5 does it service in a way, my family is ex Mormon (Church of Later-day Saintes pretty much worships the Hebrew god Elohim and views Joseph smith the founder as a spiritual leader) and we always joke how they have enough firepower to take over this godamn state. In reality they are a polygamist cult! Although to be honest if they had Farcry 5's music I would probably join them....

God willing, in the future Russia and America are in a friendlier relationship and hopefully a better place economically too. Both are such large and beautiful countries with a lot of different types of land. It would be amazing to go on a train or drive through Russia, but first I want to see the rest of America. This game and the music are amazing representations of American culture, they have some jokes and stereotypes but at the core it does a good job of portraying the neighborly and patriotic attitudes people have in the south of America.

Why is this fictional cult’s music so much more meaningful and catchy than most contemporary Christian music? It makes that music sound so vacuous and uninspired.
@MechaMan34513 жыл бұрын
Want a real answer? Cause Christians focus on making worship music about literally nothing else other than God. Literally nothing. For example, I listened to a girl sing a Christian song she wrote. She mentioned that she had to change some of the lyrics, literally a couple lines in a verse, because it focused on the singer’s struggle. Because it could be interpreted as a “man centered” lyric. Christians want their music, typically, to be sung in church. Well, then the song has to be solely focused on God. And that can be a very difficult task. If you haven’t heard of the controversy regarding the song “Reckless Love”, try doing some research on the subject. It revolves around the question, “Can God be described as ‘reckless’?” It’s a technicality. But theology is very technical. Personally? I get it. But I also don’t know if I care enough. I’ll listen to this kind of music more than I listen to most Christian music. Meanwhile, I know some rather pretentious Christians who will literally scoff at music like “Reckless Love” because it claims to be Christian music, but have theological flaws. I care about my faith enough to be theologically sound, and I’ve seen what theological elitism does to people.

It should be illegal to have this much talent both in the singing and the composing of this music. With a few changes, all of these songs would have fit in the Western Canon of religious music in the last two thousand years of recorded history.

I like how no matter how good the songs are you can still really hear the message of the cult in each of them, particularly the violence and war mongering against 'sinners' and the like. This game did a great job of depicting how movements like this win the hearts of supporters even though you never get to witness it for yourself.
@fandyus4125 Жыл бұрын
There's a lot of foreshadowing towards the ending of the game also.
