Far West Nepal (सुदूर पश्चिम नेपाल) is undoubtedly the newest tourist destination in Nepal. Untouched and unexplored, this area holds some of the most potential attractions, ranging from the largest herd of Swamp Deer in Asia at Suklaphanta National Park to the majestic beauty of the alpine meadows, forest and lakes, to picturesque off the beaten trails.The culture is also rich and relatively untouched, from the nomadic Rautes to the Rana Tharu, who travelled all the way from Rajasthan when the Moghuls invaded India. There is much folklore and ancient stories passed on from generation to generation well worth a listen while travelling here.

It is a pity that all foreigners know only middle and East Nepal, Pokhara, Lumbini, Chitwan... West Nepal is very special and still largely untouched by commercial tourism. I appreciate that your team promote homestays because in reality most tourists are interested to try out real traditional Nepali lifestyle, they do not come for five start hotels.

Bro, your narration of this video is beautiful, however, I'm from Kanchanpur and believe me, tharus are not the only culture that exist in Kanchanpur. I would have been really happy if you had covered the culture of Baitadi & Darchula people, we have our own distinct language and culture, which is in fact quiet similar to kumaoni people of India.. Nevertheless, I hope you would revisit kanchanpur again and further deep dive into this beautiful place of far western Nepal.. !!!
