This gets a bit technical. Candidates stand for their constituencies, not parties or indeed LTD companies. If elected they are free to cross the house and join another party, or none. As regards LTD company status, The Conservative party foundation LTD could do with examining as well.

The only difference is it would be UK judges making decisions not EU judges. So by all means make a big song and dance about how the ECHR got justice for the hillsborough victims but in reality, it didn't do anything domestic UK law couldn't have done.

The Speaker needs to work on a strategy to keep Farage under control (I live in hope!) as well as Labour and other MPs must be prepared to fact check Farage's Commons outbursts and call him out. When he was an MEP, on the day we left the EU, Farage, Widdecombeshyte et al all turned their backs when an anthem was played. We should ban political parties from being private businesses in the first place! That’s an easy white paper to write and would get universal support in the House when put to a vote. Having a private business for a party is just a loophole for corruption and money laundering and should not be tolerated in a modern democracy.

Garnering popular support by playing the good old race card is not a sophisticated strategy but it's effective. The election pamphlet I received only mentioned one policy ie Immigration, nothing else.As and when Reform gains any more momentum it might dawn on some of the supporters to enquire if the party has any views on other issues that matter.

These ploitical parties have to obtain their funding from somewhere and since most of us are trying to make ends meet, therer is nothing left at the end of the month to donate to political parties. Every party is gulity of this, whilst it doesn't make it right this is how the game is played. Labour came into being with funds from the trade unions, but guess where that money came from, today membership is in decline so they also accept funding from various dubious sources. Anyone funding the Conservatives must have way more money than sense. None of the current parties give a damm about working people.

I may be wrong here, but didn't Farage require those applying to stand for UKIP in 2019 to pay a fee when making their application? I seem to recall that those who didn't make it to candidate status did not have their application fee returned to them. Again, does Farage not have a pecuniary interest in Reform UK? He was questioned about this some time ago and I seem to recall that he admitted he made money out of his association with Reform.
