What I have learned from having crushes on boys (one boy I should say for years), is something that my parents helped me with. They said it's okay to have feelings but lift them up to God. Lay them down as a sacrifice and it is okay to still feel something, but TRUST that God knows best for you and in His timing, He will work things out either way. I also have always struggled with feeling alone or in need of a companion. But I felt that a boy would fill that hole, while in reality, GOD fills that hole. Take your time in singleness to read the Bible, know the Lord, and become content. I may not be there yet, but I am getting closer... I hope. XD

Needed that reminder. Looks so simple in writing but it's actually something I often forget to do. I turn to the things and people around me before I turn to God. And that's exactly why my life is so messed up! God > Everything.

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not to someone, but if I could go back in time and tell my younger self anything about having crushes, I'd tell her to know her worth. If a guy isn't actively starting conversations with you, asking you out on a date, or just showing a basic level of interest, drop him for your own good. You should not have to make a guy like you. If we stay true to ourselves, then we can't really control if someone is into us or not. Sometimes the answer is that he's just not that into you. And as much as that sucks to realize sometimes, it's going to be OK. A boy rejecting you does not define your self-worth or the amount of respect you deserve to give yourself. I cringe sometimes thinking about the things I've done to get a boy's attention - but I don't beat myself up for it because it was part of a learning process about myself, dating culture, and men. Continue to love and respect yourself and realize that having crushes and dating is part of a learning process, and if you really like someone who ends up not liking you back - imagine how much better your feelings will be with the right person.
@brianspreperworld81754 жыл бұрын
I think that's excellent advance and I would just add as a guy is that usually a lot of guys are clueless and have no idea when a lady has any interest in them. I.e. when I met my wife I thought she wasn't in my class so I didn't ask her out, until she asked me out! So ya many of us just don't have a clue, you may have to be aggressive and let a guy know your interested in dating.

When I was in college everyone I knew was taking chemistry the semester before I took it. Everyone said it made their lives miserable and I didn't want that for myself. So I decided I would pretend chemistry was my favorite subject until it actually was. It didn't take long for that to happen, and I ended up getting an A in every chem class I took in college because I loved studying it so much. Attitude is everything!!!

When I was in high school, Chemistry was my favorite subject because it was fun for me. So, I chose Chemistry as my major for my Bachelor of Science Degree in college. The first three years were fun taking classes in Inorganic Chem, Organic Chem, Analytical Chem, and Biochemistry. But for my final year, I really hated my Physical Chemistry classes as all those Quantum Mechanics theories don't make any sense and I eventually struggled with my P. Chem classes. I eventually decided to change my major and have to spend another 2 years in college to earn my BS Degree.

Becca, I just had to let you know that this message about displacing thoughts in your mind has helped me SO much in the past few weeks. As a Christian guy, I wanted to thank you for this. Over the last week and a half I've been really dwelling on the only girl I've had a real crush on way back in grade school. I never told her how I felt, never asked her out, nothing. I was too scared to upset our friendship. Recently I learned she has now been dating a guy for a while, and it really brought back all that pain of "what I should have done". It really, really, helped me hearing you say yourself/girls think about fake conversations and situations. I find that's the main way I think about things and process stuff and have always wondered if that was crazy. So thank you for that, it was evidently something I needed to hear. I've not been in contact with that girl for years aside from being passively friended on Facebook for a few years. I then met her in person at work about a week ago, and I had thought the few days before that I got over it and that I was happy for her, but I couldn't get the bravery to tell her I was happy to hear she had someone. So a few of your video's I've just watched have really helped realign my thoughts, and given me things to pray about. Especially the self-worth in Christ despite being single. I've always believed that but now I can try to practice it.

Bro I have been struggling so bad with this for the past couple months and I really need some advice from another godly woman!!!💛💛 Edit: The first question was the one I really needed to hear!!! I really loved how you said that you should grieve. Grieving should be a part of the process. And then filling up the part of your mind you use to think about that boy and using it for other hobbies and activities- that really helped!! Praise God that He is using you to reach so many people!!!!💛💛💛

It's so easy to paraphrase verses or just answer questions off the top of our head and that's okay, but we always need to make sure what people are saying lines up with the Bible. Going off of that cup metaphor, here’s where I thought she was gonna go with it! Let’s say the crush on a guy is the air, and I’m trying really hard to get that out of the cup. The easy way to do it is fill it up with water. So, if I fill my heart with God first, then I won’t be worried about the guy anymore. If I fill the cup with water, the air isn’t a problem anymore.

I live far from my Christian friends. I have a few but they live like 4 hour drive away so naturally our relationships weaken over time and even though we still text and chat over the phone it's very difficult. And then in my local church (1 hour drive) there are only mid age to elderly people and though I like the community there I still feel very lonely most of the time. I've been praying for friends, and a spiritual father or mother for quite some time now and I don't see any answer on the horizon. I know I cannot go on like this, with only work and studies and no social life whatsoever. I enjoy my family but I don't find it sufficient plus my fam is just small. I just long for sb I could share my inner thoughts and longings with, you know, a true friend.

I've struggled with comparison on & off for almost my whole life since social media came about when I was so young. Since I am now so far in my walk with the Lord, it has gotten better, but the enemy still attacks at times. Comparison is a big problem in this social media driven society, so thank you for talking about it!! :) I hope to address it in one of my videos soon, and it's awesome to see that this is a conversation being had by so many people closer to our ages!

For those people looking to bring passion back into your relationship with God, my recommendation is to find someplace where He is moving in a powerful way and then put yourself in that environment. Maybe it's a church that is a bit too "wild" for your comfort level, normally, where things are happening that you've never seen happen in church before: maybe people are getting healed, or falling over when they're prayed for, or people are speaking in tongues or prophesying over each other. Maybe it's a place where the air just feels different when they worship. Maybe people are getting delivered from demons. Go somewhere that's going to stretch or even shatter whatever box you may have tried to put God in. There's nothing like being in actual awe of God to stoke your passion for Him. Getting filled with or baptized in the Holy Spirit is a really effective way to turn your love for God up many notches. If you go to a church where they don't talk about and practice the baptism of the Holy Spirit, or maybe they tell you that it happens automatically when you're born again, then find a place where they actually pray for people to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and get prayer to receive the baptism. You will know when it happens, trust me. If you don't know, keep getting prayer and seeking God, because you will know when it happens. That will change your life, and it will allow you to begin to minister in the way that Jesus commanded His disciples to minister: healing the sick, casting out demons and whatnot. There's nothing like seeing Jesus move in power in someone's life (especially through your own hands) to increase your passion and excitement for God. Those are a few things. Let me know if you have any questions about anything I mentioned.

@@TJsGarage14 - I think sometimes it takes a while for our feelings to catch up with our actions, but that's where our faith comes into play. I'm glad to hear that things are coming around for you! I just stumbled across this channel and it's great that God has inspired this girl(dont know her name sorry) to make these videos! Just one thing on her last question about having a passion for God and so reigniting it, she missed out the one thing you should do first - and that is to pray and ask God for a passion for God, and to pray for this continuously and to just be in constant prayer - for God says "Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened" Matthew 7:7&8

I think outside of a church, online dating is thee best place to find Christians to date. You can vet their seriousness about faith, you can filter by Christians only, you won’t waste time asking out people at the store asking a cute girl out and out time in to see if she is Christian.

Any suggestions for believing what God says about you? Like for sooo long I struggled with doubting my salvation and my belief in God so now I struggle so much to believe that I am chosen, redeemed, loved etc.

Hey Becca, I can totally relate to the 'would I wear this to work and outside of work?' Sometimes I think a shirt is to cute that I would wear during a vacation, but wouldn't to my work because I would look to young. And since I teach teenagers.... You know. I also have a question: should I grieve for the fact that I am turning 27 and still haven't found a husband? There are years that I am really fine with being single and just focussing on the Lord. Other years I am wondering why I have to wait so long. I have dated a Christian man, age 29, also a teacher and also waiting on marriage, for about 2 months. But I figured he wasn't over his last relationship. Besides he had a little bit more worldly view on dating. Hugging and kissing, without having a relationship. So my pastor told me: well If he was longer here in church and I had a good relationship with him, I would have told him: how dare you to not call that a relationship? ( it's nice to have spiritual parents in my church). Well... He still comes to church and participates in other things. Though he has some issues with being proud and dominant... Should I wait and see what happens , what God will do? Maybe It wasn't Gods timing yet?

Hey Becca! I have a big favor to ask you about: So, today I read such relatable verses in the Bible, it was Mark 4, 35-41 and I think it would be amazing, if you could make a video themed on this very topic, because I associate it with Corona and it really helps me dealing with this issue, maybe you can talk about it? I would love that❤️

What's the difference between a crush versus lust? Did Jesus tell us if we look upon a woman or a woman looks upon a man they already done committed adultery after they lust? I'm just trying to figure out the difference here. Because a crush will get you in trouble when your mind goes to wandering.

Pray for me, I'm coming back again to the old me. I can't get over the person I used to love. He's not a Christian. I can't focus on my relationship with God because of him.
