Thank you so much for this. God has been dealing with me about fear, and my thought life. Fearful thoughts will come, but we should hold to the truth of what God's word says rather than clinging to the fear
@rebeccamclaren975 жыл бұрын
Amen! I'm such a "thinker", and because I'm an introvert with very few people to share my thoughts with or talk to, they usually turn into fearful thoughts very easily. I always worry about what others think of me. Especially what the world thinks of me... which is so wrong considering they crucified the Lord and my focus should be on Him not them!! It's so hard not to be anxious when I've lived in fear all my life. Even after I was saved, I somehow didn't truly leave my fear at the cross.. it's even got worse I would say. The Lord is definitely bringing me through a season of fear.. it feels like it will never end but I know if I hold on to His word which is truth, I won't be disappointed. He is greater. And He understands our pain: Psalm 147. 5 _Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite_ This Psalm gives me so much comfort 🙏

Chicken Nuggets what a lovely psalm! I am an introvert and thinker as well, and tend to keep things close to the chest, so I definitely understand where you're coming from. There's a message called enjoying true peace of mind on here by biblical teacher named Derek Prince where he breaks down the promise of peace and the conditions we must meet to get it in Philippians 4:6-8. It's blessed me, and I hope it blesses you as well!

I done that twice. Its a connected testimony though. Im glad God was guiding me throughout this. First, i left the psychiatry office after decernment but i was also tricked into it, then during the next appointment i felt Jesus telling me that im not supposed be there and then with my pride swallowed up, i called and canceled the service. Later on, i winded up in my uncle's arms with comfort and encouragement on life. (I still wonder why my uncle. We share a kindred spirit too) Part 2 is that i left the church for making slanderous/gossiping remarks about me to the pastor regarding me and my uncle, He called my parents and told, so i went back to straighten it out but pastor made claims of me needing a psychiatrist and so during this whole pandemic, God said leave that church. I finally left and now im blessed at a better church being deverse.

I love how clear and bold this is! So encouraging! But what about when we feel powerless to just walk away from the snare? For me, Jesus is the key to the snare and he won't just wait for us to get ourselves out and come to him, like the prodigal son, as soon as we turn to him and want to leave, he can help so much!
@juice23075 жыл бұрын
You hit it the nail on the head. When we are told in scripture that something is disordered from something good, we must accept it. This is also why the Catholic parts of Christianity are often concerned with the doctrine Sola Fide. All Christians, including Catholics, believe that we are justified by faith, but when you add "alone" onto that specific doctrine, it allows a bit too much room for habitual sinners to justify going further into their sin. They end up saying "I have faith, so it doesn't matter what I do or what happens. I am saved, after all." It is for this reason that James 2:26 specifies "For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead." Faith and action go hand in hand. Faith and works come from you, and act as a "yes" to the Lord and his way. This is why we should always make sure we listen to the spirit, so that we might through our actions say "yes". Forgiveness is freely given to those that repent, but we must understand that the act of repentance is not a "work" that we are doing to "earn" forgiveness. It is just our "yes" to the Lord. Neither Protestant or Catholic should confuse the biblical word "work" with an action meant for self-gain. That, by its very nature, is bad fruit. I pray that all of us who abide in Christ, though we are not unified in a single building or institution, may at least be unified in our love for him and what he asks of us.
@juice23075 жыл бұрын
Samurai 侍Kasai 火災 With all due respect, the core to Christian belief is accepting the Nicene Creed. Catholics are Christians. You say Catholics ignore scripture, yet some Protestant denominations also ignore scripture, such as all of James, and even Jesus’ parables on salvation. He specifically tells us that those “who endure to the end will be saved.” Stop being so prideful. This is the same problem represented in 1 Corinthians. Some said they follow Apollos, others Paul. You were not baptized in the name of Peter, Paul, Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther or John Calvin. You were baptized in the name of of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is what makes you a Christian. Therefore, since Catholics have undergone that same Trinitarian baptism, they too are Christians. Start loving your brothers and sisters, or your faith is dead (as without love, you are nothing).
@tommatthews93415 жыл бұрын
Read Romans over and over again until it sinks in! Jesus died on the cross not just to forgive our sins, but to set us free from sin! We will never be completely sinless until we are in glory but the bondage of habitual sins you can be set free from! Read Romans daily and believe you can overcome the bondage of sin and you will become set free! Trust me! It works!
