@@twillison8824 I've got all 3! Waited for Spit and BF109 to come in Battle of Britain schemes from Volantex/Sonik RC in UK. Nice. Not truly scale models, but BF109 wingspan is same scale as Lancaster give or take a cm. Spitfire is bit undersized for 1/24th scale. Should be more like 470 mm than 400 as was bigger than BF109 in real life. Good approximation though, especially when they're in the air. Will be some time before I pluck up courage to pilot the Lanx though!

@@twillison8824 My favourite is the P51 Mustang, which I think was basis for all these warbirds and is what I started with. I find it best behaved and smoothest to control. I haven't flown my Spit and 109 much yet but find they are a bit less well behaved and slightly more twitchy. I would say my 109 is better behaved and handling than the spit but that could just be down to the individual models I have. I find the 3 bladed props look better on the ground but introduce some additional vibration in the plane when flying so wonder if this might affect the gyro slightly. For best performance use a 2 bladed prop. You will probably hear the difference in flight, it's smoother, quieter, more efficient. Think the Sports Cub 500 prop looks about right on a 109. I sometimes fly with a P-51 prop on my Spit although it's a bit red! I think the Corsair is the trickiest of the 4 I have. This is because the elevator is positioned further back changing the relative sensitivity of the tail controls. Delivers super tight turns but have to be careful not to over-control. Requires a lighter touch. Haven't got the Trojan (which I hear is comparable to the Mustang), P-40 Kittyhawk or P-47. I avoided the P-47 Razorback because of size and negative reviews. Just waiting for the Zero to become available in the UK now, as a companion for my Corsair! Should be arriving in September. 😎

You simply can't beat the sound of 4 Rolls-Royce merlin engines working together along with those of a Spitfire and Hurricane escort. Sad that there are only 2 of these flying now, in the UK and Canada, lest we forget the international and Commonwealth crews that also flew with the RAF in WW2. Brave souls all! I salute you.🤩

Third times a charm fellas! Makes me feel a little better about flying the beast. I have installed retracts in mine but hadn't flown it yet. And will use a 1500mah 4s battery. Fingers crossed when I maiden. Also guys I think your CG is off cause you took out the weight, I remember reading if you add retracts then the weight should be removed. Correct me if I'm wrong there. Either way great flight gentleman.

Beautifully flown and filmed. There are many discussions on the flight characteristics of the Lancaster. When I was a kid, we had a sports teacher called Les Brown who was a tail gunner on the Lancs.. He was a nice guy, but he had a strange glint in his eye, you felt like he was on the edge of raving madness, and apparently this was true of many who'd sat in the little glass box at the back of the plane, being shot at.. But I had a conversation with him about the planes, and he said the most scary thing was turning at low altitude. Like many planes, the flight behaviour of the real Lancaster is likely to be mirrored by models. Many Lancs were lost to the tip stall. So well done Pilot Robert, and I hope Dumbo hasn't driven you crazy! Big salute as ever from London. 👍
