I flew on the 300 from YYC to YCG. I loved taking the bus out to the boarding area. The sound of the engines were breathtaking too.

Excellent video Robin! The Classic Dash 8 is by far my favorite aircraft to fly on since it is one of the few that I fit on. Great review!

Thank you! I love the classic Dash for the engine noise, not so much for the comfort.

I have flown on Dash 8s twice, round trip between Jalalabad & Bagram in Afghanistan. Thanks Molson Air!

We have the Dash-8 in Australia but only the larger variants: the Q300 and Q400, both operated by QantasLink.

Haven’t had the pleasure of flying this aircraft myself but it certainly looks fun. Great video.

Great reflection on the -100! I have never flown them, but I enjoy the -300's when jumping around the prairies. I also enjoyed seeing a bit of Alberta - was supposed to be there this week.

Thanks! The -300s are very similar, but in some way I like the -100 better haha

Really cool takeoff collaboration. That darn sound brings back memories, wish I could say good ones! At least my ears weren't ringing for an hour after watching the video like after a real flight on one. Nice video though Robin!

Thanks Billy, the engine sound is amazing and surely will be missed

That aircraft was later leased by Wasaya Airways in Sioux Lookout First Nation for a period of time while C-GOKN was in block check. It was nearing the end of its life and was known to be extremely problematic. Was by far the least reliable aircraft in the fleet. The lease expired around the end of 2023, and they gave it back to Voyager. As far as I've heard, it's been sitting ever since

Wow what a fabulous report! I really like the Dash-8 and have flown on the 400 and 300 (Jazz) I would've liked to fly the Dash-8 Q100 but now it's looking like I will have to just enjoy the plane on KZbin haha. Great video again!

Thanks mate, it is theoretically still possible to fly on one, but not for long. But there are still some flying here in Canada, like with Air Creebec!

Flew on the 100 many times, too many to remember. It was a great aircraft in its time but like all other types, it was time to go. Thanks for a great video.

One of my old girls.. serviced her a lot in the 90s and early 2000s.. We christened her "snoopy" for awhile when due to a mtce issue her nose radome was swapped for a new one which for some reason had been painted matt black. This wouldnt do and was quickly repainted white and put into service again. Only for the white paint to peel off badly... hence looking like snoopy the dog.!

Aren't Air Canada bringing back the Beech 1900D? I'm from New Brunswick, and the Dashes, CRJ and Beechcrafts are the backbones.
@Vuelogs4 жыл бұрын
Not officially, there are some flying for AC still, but it's hard to find.

@@Vuelogs Yeah, the mass majority are here in the Maritimes, as places are closer together and over coastal stretches, as well as having smaller towns then the West parts of Canada.
