This show has the most natural lgbtq relationship out of any tv show. It doesnt feel forced.

I think part of it is that it’s subtly implied that being lgbt+ is accepted as normal on the boiling isles, so there’s no awkwardness with navigating taboos. There’s cute awkwardness from them being young teens in love, but no one ever implies that it’s abnormal or sinful for girls to like girls. Because of that, their relationship can progress just like any other relationship, without it seeming like they’re just together because they’re the only openly WLW characters, or because like they’re just bonding over shared trauma instead of making a real personal connection.

FUN FACT AB THIS SCENE!! After Amity pulls her classic “tomato face”, it cuts to the scene where Amity stutters and leaves. However, if you look closely you can notice that Luz isn’t looking into Amity’s eyes like she was before. Really think about this, does Amity REALLY come across as the type of person to just do something without thinking about it? Even directly after the kiss, she doesn’t seem very phased. And keep in mind she only gasps AFTER it cuts AWAY from Luz. Also, why would Amity suddenly become nervous if Luz’s reaction to the kiss seemed POSITIVE. Now look back at the scene, see now where Luz is looking? At Amity’s *lips*. Amity got nervous because she probably wasn’t prepared or doesn’t know how to kiss people. I thought that was a really cool detail that definitely couldn’t be a coincidence :))
