My Favorite LRT Train Before Retirement.

You guys are very lucky with all the fanfare and farewell event on a train retirement. Our transport operators/government authority in Singapore barely show any interest in old workhorses and they are always gone without any announcement or fanfare/celebration. Just gone silently. Our government authority (land transport authority) are only interested to showing newest assets/features to promote themselves (example : new train station opening event). They'll ignore anything else that doesn't improve their PR (public relation). 'Consolation prize' are only a mini bus/train museum of old bus/train parts which are used to promote their history. That's all.

Perhaps there will be some event when the last C151 retires, like how the MTR did with the MLR-train and Phase 2 LRV. For museum, maybe use the old intercity train station and track? Like how MTR did with the old Hung Hom Station?

@@SFsRailDepot nope. I can guarantee there will be no event. Even at most, SMRT gives a small shoutout of their retiring train models on their social media. The other main operator, SBS Transit, not a single thing for their retiring buses, pretends nothing happened. (They have yet to have retiring trains). LTA still choose to destroy that one ex-train station that most Singaporean know off, Tanjong Pagar Railway station, after KTMB have left in 2011, in favour of development (with Circle Line stage 6). The other two are Bukit Timah railway station and Ten Mile Junction. Bukit Timah station they just turned into a static display. Ten Mile Junction station is just shut off to public access and still not demolished as the whole area is an active train depot.
