Joe Blaylock composed this tune called Farewell Trion upon returning to Alabama after getting laid off from a mill in Trion, Georgia. James Bryan added a third part to the tune which is included in Bob Carlin's influential recording on Banging & Sawing. This was one of the first Old TIme tunes I learned and is always a favorite to play #folkmusic #mandolin #bluegrass
