I really liked this episode. A set actually having an impact in the card pool's they have, good back and forth, and Gage was not that unlikable this time. Not even Gage trying to cosplay as Farfa could ruin this week.

I can’t believe no one mentioned Wildheart here. It was a good card to run as it being straight up immune to traps, allowed for a lot of blowout cards like needle ceiling to destroy opponents monsters whilst keeping your own monster safe. Common traps like Bottomless Trap Hole, Sakuretsu Armor, mirror force were just stopped by a 1500 trap immune beat stick.

cimo had such an easy win game 2 if he just made the 1 play to avoid losing everything to reaper. All he had to do was flip dust tornado on the first reaper attack and use dust to set the smashing ground which clears reaper the next turn.

His plays were atrocious but his real problem every time is that he always save his interruptions for that one combo piece to stop Gage's deck cold but they don't have good enough decks in this format so Gage always manages to whittle away at his LP every game until it's too late to do anything. Gage had a really powerful turn in game 3 but Cimo needs to stop thinking like every game is going to be OTK potential.

@@rikudaman To be a little fair, now with all the extra engine card Gage's deck has the potential to just go nuts and blow Cimo out of the water off two or three cards, but like you said, I think Cimo needs to play mostly disregarding that, and if Gage gets it, well he gets it.

2nd game Cimo played like a fool.........he had countless chances to get value out of his book and when it finally gets destroyed, he chains it to set his monster while reaper is on the other side of the field? Why not just target the reaper, therefore destroying it, preventing Gage to rip off another hand card or tributing the reaper. In my opinion in this game Cimo seeked out every opportunity to missplay and took it.......well deserved loss here xD

But if reaper gets targeted, it gets automatically destroyed, right? So if you target him with your book, it won't be changed in defense, but gets destroyed by his own effect. Or doesn't it work this way?

@@PortgasDdude Effects like that take place on resolution of the effect. Which can't happen when you flip a card face down, removing it's chance to activate the effect. The same would be true if someone used Book of Moon on a card like The Dark Magicians. Since TDM would be face down on resolution you wouldn't get to draw using it's effect despite it having been face up when the card effect was activated. IO is the only way it would work because it would negate the effect to flip it down but would still register it as having been targeted.
