This season was more influential to me than Scorsese or Tarantino - which is saying a lot - I like the odd season (the recent ones) but 2 and 4 (and soon 6) - that's Fargo lore - and the creators .. well they pull out their best untested ideas and they .. just work and set a benchmark they do..

Ironically, the song choice is Locomotive Breath, the meaning of which as told by Ian Anderson was to reflect upon a society that is out of control in population growth. But here we are in 2023 and now the top brains are saying the human race is in a very precarious position for the exact opposite, that globally the population is dangerously close to the precipice of sudden collapse. Could anyone have seen that coming? Say thirty years ago when the prevailing attitude was that humans will continue breeding out of control until the planet could no longer contain them. For anyone who intrigues themself with these type stories... true crime, organized violence, the pursuit of power... the choice of song is a beautiful commentary that there is nothing guaranteed in this world other than the insane randomness of life.
@Townesvanwaits Жыл бұрын
Wait, so you're saying that there's NOT ENOUGH people?? There is still definitely a population problem, in that there's too fckn many of us. Sure, some countries birth rates have dropped, and that could be a problem with certain aspects of the economy, but go out on the interstate during rush hour and tell yourself that there needs to be more people in the world. Take a drive down the ghettos in your city, looking at the massive amounts of homeless people and trash littering the streets and tell yourself the same thing.

The UFOs are the best part of season 2. A twist of the supernatural exists in every season of the show and it's a callback to the superstitious nature of the Coen Brothers movies.

Fargo as a show was never about Plot and Realism. Fargo as a show is all about Storytelling. You watch Fargo to enjoy their way of telling the different stories that go throughout the series. There is a reason this is an Anthology series. You can dislike Fargo for Plot but to call it boring is just a crime. Season 2 is Peak TV Show along with True Detective Season 1.
