Once again a very enjoyable ride Jack. I'm enjoying some new roads I've never traveled or seen before since your change of operation. Thank you for sharing your adventures sir.

Jack, you've mentioned Nestle's Water a couple of times. I never had that, but I did have a couple of pick ups at Nestle Purina kitty litter in the foothills outside of Maricopa, CA. Getting there was an adventure all in itself, but the worst part was when their scale was busted and I had to truck all the way to scale at Buttonwillow. Kitty litter loads are max heavy and, as luck would have it, they had mis-loaded to the tune of a couple thousand over on my drives. I ended up trucking all the way back to the plant so they could rearrange the load. By that time I was long out of hours and couldn't make it back to Buttonwillow. I ended up spending the night on a wide spot on the narrow, winding road coming down from the plant. Obviously, they'd had this situation occur many times because there was a trash barrel there just for us truckers. It was actually a beautiful night. Extremely peaceful and quiet, with a view of the valley to die for. I wish we could post photos here, as I have a really good one showing me in my own private little spot by the side of the road. Back to the scale at Buttonwillow, and the load was still off, but nothing that couldn't be resolved by burning off a little fuel in time before the next weigh station. I'm retired now, Jack, but your videos give me a yearning. Thanks.

Hey jack, wainting is part of trucking, I deliver a load on a 30 footer, and it took over 3 hours to unload it.. those guys took their sweet time. I was really burning. but otherwise i love this job. Good video,, keep it coming.

Hey Jack, I live in MN and it is a good thing you stopped in Osseo, WI. That storm, although not as bad as predicted did much hail damage. The hail in the street was 3" high or more. Roofs severely damaged as well as cars and trucks. My daughter, son in law and friends had over 8K each in damage to there vehicles. My brother now needs a new roof on his house. I enjoy your video's. I used to haul for Walmart out of the DC in Tomah, WI. It's fun to see your video's of places I used to drive. I knew what truck stop you were at in Osseo before you mentioned the name of the town. Neat. Fargo doesn't have a lot of freight coming out of there. I've also been by the potato chip place in Perham before. Drive safe.

I run that road all the time and the nice thing about Fargo is it has 4 truck stops. Petro, Staymart, FJ, and Loves. If your running late go the the Petro or Staymart. The other 2 will be packed. The FJ also has a bar if your stuck for a reset. All 4 are clean. The one I like best is the Staymart. Nice store with lots of stuff, fast food joint with home made meals and a nice lounge with free wifi. Oh ya and a huge parking lot, the Petro comes in second.

Some quick tips for reading radar: the blobs are just rain/snow/hail. The darkest reds and purples are downpours or hailstorms. Tornadoes are spotted by looking at how the precip is moving in the storm and requires a trained eye and a lot more data than the basic apps show, so the best strategy for the average user is avoiding the small red warning cones the weather service draws for specific storms. The yellow warnings are just for wind and hail, and the big "watch" boxes they put over wide regions are just a general "be cautious and have plans to take cover if you encounter a storm" message. I'm partial to the Radarscope app myself, nice high resolution data and the warning boxes lag less than a minute behind the weather radio if you have cell signal. It's not free, but you only pay once, not monthly or yearly or anything. Hope to catch you on the road sometime! I'm good for a free dinner if you happen across me & my truck Maxwell anywhere. 😁

Interesting video Jack! Right around my stomping grounds. Graduated from Alexandria Tech.'s truck driving program recently and was just in Fargo today believe it or not. Haha Perham....what a stinky town! lol Be glad you didn't spend too much time there. I do drop key auto part delivery for a company out of Wadena, if you recall cruising through there. Not much up here really. My little straight truck route keeps me busy for the time being though. Thanks for the videos and keep up the good work. God bless!

I enjoy your videos very much Jack. I am a retired driver going on a year now after a little over forty years of pushing a truck down the road from coast to coast. I get my kicks now from watching You Tube trucker channels but honestly just watch you and one or two others because you are the Professional Driver that big rig drivers are supposed to be but unfortunately don't seem to be anymore. All they do is complain and use vulgar language especially over the CB radio and all that does is confirm the general publics view of the truckers of today. Anyway keep up the good work and look forward to your next video.

Hey why is it that in Australia, the rear wheels of the trailer are right at the back of the trailer and in America they seem to be further in?
@danielpaulus3827 жыл бұрын
JET13B some states have bridge laws. then there are axle weight. steers-12000 lbs. drives- 34000 lb. tandems-34000 lbs.
@EllieODaire7 жыл бұрын
Many American states have highways and roads designed when the longest trailers you could pull without permits were only 40 to 48 feet long. Having axles that far forward allows the 53 footers we pull now to maneuver similarly to the trailers that were around when much of the infrastructure was built, albeit with more tail swing to worry about. Different states have different rules about the gap from tractor axles to trailer axles, but they can also be slid all the way to the rear for loading and unloading.

Simple, make laws that everyone can't keep up with that way they keep the money wheel turning.
