Farida Jalal on Karan Johar's shifting loyalty, bond with Yash Johar, DDLJ, rejecting Kal Ho Naa Ho

Farida Jalal remembers Yash Johar & says- "Mujhe yaad hai ki mera phone uthakar woh bolte they, Dekho farida hero ka role baad main likha jata hai, tumhara role pehle. aise baat karte they woh." Farida shares that she met karan Johar for the first time during 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. During DDLJ karan used to say that he going to make film. After that Karan met Farida & narrated 'Kuch Kuch hota hai'. Farida also says that DDLJ was made exactly as it was narrated. Farida also feels sad that DDLJ was Aditya Chopra's best film & 'ussey acchi film woh dobara nahi bana paaye.' Farida shares- "aisa he karan k liye 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' rahi, unki bestest. ek ek scene unhone khud likha. ab toh puri badi team hai.' Farida reveals why she was not part of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. She also revealed the original starcast planned for the movie. Check out the video to know more.

In her words I can feel she is nostalgically hurt and emotional. Emotional and overwhelmed for all the wonderful roles and memories she had gained in her career and hurt that nothing is not same anymore. Everything and everyone are detached and disconnected. Not just in an industry, but in life in general. People tend to change significantly post even minimal success. I have experienced it first hand. A friend of mine who used to say that we will be best friends for life calls me lazy and coward today just because I couldn't replicate the amount of success that he has got, in my life. Another friend is on the verge of being pompous. Ambition is a very misused and overused word that people use frivolously these days.
