Hi Farket, the reason you are finding it hard to melee kill the cannibals is due to the sensor mod. They are much easier to kill when you can amputate the non-armoured parts. This makes the combat fair and strategic.

yeah a lot of the reason the combat sucks for him is because of the censorship mod he has, along with yk not using the strongest weapon, not going for weakpoints etc etc but its farket so 🤷‍♂

In the forest you were not able to move the traps without loosing the materials unlike in SOF were it's better, Farket became a bad player, he doesn't know how to fight the enemies, he forgot how to edit a video, his building is mediocre and his attitude is the worse, he's earning his leaving because of the pity of his viewers thru the companies that he is so ungrateful to like YT and Endnight, and finally the reason why this happened it's no excuse.

@@marytatodd9934 I mostly agree with this. I played both The Forest and SOTF. Farket was better than I ever was at The Forest. He's worse than my girlfriend at SOTF. It's honestly aweful how bad he's been, and it seems like he hasn't done much research or watched content on the game so he can learn how to do it better. I feel like if I could just sit him in my game for 2 hours he'd come out a good player. All of these problems he's having, he's doing to himself. It's really frustrating to watch. I can't even get halfway through a video anymore

I did the same on The Forest and SOF , Farket has always been there doing the hard yards . I re started SOF after the final release , enjoyed the builds and combat but hated the caves so much I quit a couple weeks ago , so I'm with Farket on this

I miss the good days, he explained which point of my custom shaped floor I has to be placed first, so it does not break instantly, when attacked.

17:29 Funny you should come to this island. I've been building on the island on the entirety of my current run. About 2/3rd of the land there has been covered by a single structure, and now I am furnishing the building and adding some finishing touches. I'm running out of steam, unfortunately, so it's taking longer to complete than I thought it would. It's a great area to build, though, because no one can bother you out on the lake unless it is winter.

@Farkett use a glider launch pad to get over the traps at the front gate when you need to enter or like a zipline "drawbridge" so to speak.

Unfortunate to see you’re permanently dropping the game but I also can’t hold you to it. There’s been so many issues with sotf both during development and when the game released, and it’s a pretty clear consensus that there are just too many problems with it to find it fun to play after a certain point or watch others play with similar feelings towards it.

Im not sure if there is a consensus on this. On the subreddit I sometimes see people asking if others are enjoying the game and 90% of the comments recommend the game. I feel like most people enjoy it. Sure it has some problems, and if these completly suck out the fun than thats sad, but I feel like its not as bad as farket makes it out to be. The only thing I really dont like is that they made the map so huge but gliders are definetly the way to minimize this problem. And personally I really enjoy the building, but Im also only playing with friends, which definetly helps my enjoyment of not chopping down 50 trees just to fill out a floor.

i built a sizable base just up from where you are on the flat part left of the cave entrance, by far one of the best places ive built, enemies only came from one direction.

if they are just going to end up attacking the wall anyways you should build a maintenance door on it so you can get out if you bug into it again. just have 2 doors and make each one a different side for the lock so you can lock them both and still get in and out if needed. i agree with what you said about it being kinda like 7 days, i LOVE the forest and 7 days but 7 days just has such a better pathing and behavior feel to it. its been a long tim coming but the last like 5 major pathces have had some BIG fixes and tweaks to zeds behavior and pathing. like the rage mode they have now if they fall and cant get a quick attack on a player, which the devs made to prevent the infinit loop-drop horde bases. but i mean players will always find a way lol and we had new bases working in like 3 days hahahaha. if you ever get on 7 days and want a really good overhaul mod you should check out Darkness Falls, my and my buddies must have a combined 20k hours on that mod alone. i know for a fact i have 2k+ alone.

The Player can not trigger their own traps.

It's a setting you can toggle. I'm not sure if it's only in custom games. But you can toggle if the player triggers traps or not.

Cannibals love jumping on top of big rocks. I had a base where there was a big rock on the inside of the denfence-wall. And they just warped through the wall and landed on the rock inside. Such a bad game design.

Kinda funny how both sons of the Forrest and Payday3 were just utter flops when the previous games were just so good. And they kept updating their games improving them learning from them, but then the next game was a blank slate like nothing was ever learned.

Stones look great but they are soooo buggy to build with. Once you lay them down they lock things in place & aren't as easy to remove as timber.

Probably a good decision to stop playing/making videos on Sotf... Videos are a big way of supporting the game, and devs like this do not deserve this kind of... charity... no updates, no communcation, releasing an unfinished, unpolished version of the game... after over a year of cooperation and feedback interaction with the community. Said it before: thats abusive behavior and should not be tolerated ever. You gave it a very, VERY fair shot farket... 3 seasons and probably over a thounsand hours. gg! excited for whats "next" :D 7days, greenhell maybe?

I think these guys need to put in the effort to actually allow us to use controllers I know that they don't because I plugged in my Xbox controller and it told me to press x to do stuff and it didn't work at all nothing happened I know my controller works cuz I was able to play dark souls elden ring and all these other games but yet not here so I'm thinking little effort was put in

There's pretty good controller support. I use my ps5 controller. You might have to change a setting in steam under the controllers. Or maybe the thing it told you to hit X you had to hold down instead of just tapping the button.

I'll just say that I'm sorry you've lost the will to play SotF but honestly i get it, i would say turn down the difficulty and whatnot but honestly if you don't enjoy the game in the way you wanted to play it then it makes no sense to play it at all. You always disliked the building in SOTF and maybe you’re older and maybe generally busier? Who knows. I haven’t had the same combat issues on Hard Survival and the combat is definitely better than in the Forest. I don’t have the same issues with glitching either. I suspect its some of the mods and to an extent where you’re building. Play it with friends? That always makes the tedious bits less frustrating. The Forest has its own charm but some parts of the game play are way worse. Anyway, I wish you luck with whatever you decide to do. I’ve always enjoyed your Forest videos
