Great video my friend. Hope Cure will be available for Non Ladder after this season since I only play on NL. I’m using CoH on my Sorc (+2 skills and can forget about resists). As long as I have 105 FCR I’m happy. Nova sorc is my favorite in D2 so far. So chill.

I’m really enjoying playing self found, just out here looking for a Jah to complete an Enigma 😁 will definitely want a CoH once I get some more Ber runes rolling, but would really like enigma and infinity first

I just want to add that telekinesis will only reduce energy cost per point of damage to 75% which is when skill is at 20. So only add enough points to telekinesis to get to 20 with all your plus skills. Saves you some skill points that you can put into more defense or warmth, and make sure you make energy shield too.

The problem is that the benefit only comes from hard points, so you have to put 20 hard points into telekinesis to get to 75%. You can stop putting points into energy shield when you reach the 95% max absorption, this can be reached without putting 20 hard points in, if you have a memory staff or something similar for pre-buffing

@@patrickkruse9786 yeah! that’s how basically all synergies work in the game, they only give their bonus when it’s an invested skill point. I don’t know why they chose to do it like that, but I also originally thought it would also benefit from +skills from gear and such

I do not use energy shield as a nova sorceress? I have a 2nd act merc with infinity, dream and chains of honor. I'm using the unique Diadem with a lightning facet, unique eldrich orb with a lightning facet, crack of the heavens (-74), vipermagi with a lightning facet, spiderweb sash, spirit shield (monarch - 34 FCR), magefist, kathos wedding and raven frost rings, amulet - 3 to lightning skills with +11 better chance, 3 grand charms +1 to lightning skills, yellow battle boots dropped from Baal - 30 faster run walk, lightning res +40, fire res +35 and +23 better chance. Secondary weapon and shield are Call to Arms and Phoenix. Skill tree is concentrated on static field, nova, charged bolt, lightning, chain lightning and lightning mastery. One click on telekinesis, one click on teleport, one click on frozen armor and one click on warmth. Yes, my mana's gone after 10-12 nova flashes but trust me I don't need more as enemies on the screen are also gone!

Do the resistences really not count with ES? I run almost the same build (magefists, silkweave and COH), and as far as I know, resistances do count. With high resistances you get less damage through, so it helps survavibility. I can clear every region and I rarely take any damage, even souls are survivable. All res capped with my Mara 30 (first real drop of s3) and coh and some charms. I don't even see mana or life go down a bit. :D

I can imagine, since I’m playing offline, it’s a bit harder to get end game runewords, but I would really like a CoH also. Resistance only help on the damage you take to your health, and even with uncapped resistance, it is very rare that my health drops too much. Only really with souls, but my light res is also negative. So it does help, but only really when it’s very high damage at the same time, otherwise most health loss is negated by the Merca healing without needing to worry too much about resistances

Damn this build looks so fun to play! But it’s ver gear dependent right? Currently I’m in act V of NM playing and farming gear with my Blizz sorc but this lightning version looks more like my play style Is this build something you could respec and get gear piece after gear piece or only if I got most of the gear?

I actually just recorded a video this weekend where I’m playing a more budget version of this build. I will probably publish it in a couple of days. But it’s not something I like to play until after I’m level 80-85. The thing is that you need to have a high mana pool, because nova spends a lot of mana and you use energy shield for defense. I like to have at least 1500 mana before trying to play this build. Otherwise I just die too much. The mercenary is crucial for mana and health regen, since you will have very little life. It’s also important to get telekinesis to level 20 so mana you loose when you take damage will be only 75% of the original damage. It’s also important to get a high enough absorption % for your energy shield, which is why I like to be a higher level for this build, because then I have more skill points to put into energy shield. But if you want to kill lightning immunes you must have at least a lightning sunder and a crescent moon sword. After that what’s most important is to get high mana and at least 63% FCR and as many + skills that you can get on gear. On my new offline account, I didn’t make this build until I had found Shako, Arachnids Mesh, Viper Magi and Frostburn. Which is part of what I will be showing off in my next video

So i guess i just finish NM Act V and start farming in NM to get the core pieces of gear and probably will end up getting gear for other chars too. @@SmiddyW you’re welcome :) it is always better to farm Hell if you can! As soon as you have a cold sunder and are level 75, you can finish hell pretty easily with the blizzard sorc, she needs very little gear, but you will see that in the 0-Hero video

Mine dropped by a fallen in the Pit (Tamoe Highlands) not under corrupted tremors. Just few regular runs. But the same run when I got the Griffon I also got 5 sockets Caduceus with +3 to Sanctuary (not a good one but still Caduceus is a rare drop). The RNG was over the charts that particular run. Farm the Pit in Tamoe Highlands level 1 and level 2. My Griffon dropped in level 1 but level 2 has higher chances as many enemies are on one place including bosses of the groups.

I do it with my pala also. Just have to take it slow and be careful. Killing every mob. It takes some time, but also helps you get used to the play style. For me at least, smiting was very different, since I mainly play casters

I think he was using a +2 all skills Arkaine’s Valor to buff the healing he gives. But you can also use any defensive armor you would normally use, like Treachery or Duriel’s Shell

The gameplay is on players 3, then I change it to players 8 for the Baal waves and the only time it’s players 1 is when I kill Baal because his health is super high. I can also do P8 Chaos runs with this build, it just takes about 40% longer so it isn’t as efficient as P3
