I was told years ago, that if there’s a farm sale due to retirement or health reasons, such as this one, that other local farmers or traders might be generous in their bidding, to benefit the seller……not sure if the same is true today though.
@DavidClarke-h6cАй бұрын
Years ago I went to a farm sale with a mate as they had an air compresser I was interested in. But oh dear just like this sale a right load of scrap yes there were some useful farm implements but people were bidding on piles of scrap that your would be lucky to get £30 for those days.

I'm surprised how high the tractors went, and even the prices in general. I'm also surprised they make a big deal about taking ALL the metal from the scrap lots, round here the auction company (or whoever they have come in to haul the leftovers away) will haul left over metal you don't take and make a few extra bucks on that.
@IaintwokeАй бұрын
It's not the metal they are worried about. It's things like tyres and that.

Many commentors decrying the "madness" of prices paid here. I often think similarly having been out of the market for machinery and construction steel for quite a while now. However I'm even more shocked on the rare occasions that I do have to hit up the dealers/stores for any new replacements. How the H@** did things get so ridiculously expensive since last time I bought?!! 😱😒👿

Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them. People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable
