The goal of this Standard Hearthstone Burn Mage OTK combo deck is to use Aegwynn the Guardian combined with Frozen Touch! We do this by playing and repeating the Aegwynn deathrattle many times over with cards like Encumbered Pack Mule, Simulacrum, Twin-fin Fin Twin, and Saronite Chain Gang to eventually play Frozen Touch for the OTK! One very cool note about this deck is that the 3 legendaries in it are all currently in the Core set, so it would be very easy to build. In fact, Simulacrum is also Core, and the only other epic in the deck (Solid Alibi) isn't necessary and could be replaced with other defensive cards. So it's a very budget-friendly combo today!

I just played against this deck as Warrior. Had him at like 5 health but couldn't break through all his taunts and the entire game I was wondering what the goal of his deck was until he hit me with a 27 damage Frozen Touch, killing me. It was the most confusing, beautiful deck I've ever seen.

15:30 isn't this just because deathrattles execute in order they were played? Does this fail even if you play the Aegwynn minion first?

I did a similar deck but with the Secret package in Wild. The draw offered by Rigged Faire Game, Sayge or Aluneth + all the extra strong duplicating minions (Occult Conjurer, Scuttlebutt Ghoul) with Frozen Touch+Ignite lets you keep up the pressure. Not as aggressive as normal Secret Mage, but can kill the slower decks in the format like Reno Priest more reliably

Tried to make a deck like this work with Arcane Missiles, Cinderstorm, Mask of C'Thun and Dawnguard. It works about 37% of all times. Problem is, if Aegwyn gets silenced or transformed. It's also very slow and the restriction of not running any other fire or arcane spell is very... restricting. BUT I'll be damned if it isn't satisfying seeing 50 Arcane Missiles flying in my opponents face.

Easy wins, my pitookie! If Aegwyn AND Taelan are on the bottom, you lose 100% of the time while you're trying not to dig too hard and waste all your card draw. Fun deck to watch, though.

At around 16 minutes in the Tirion Fordrin was on board before the multicaster with the Aegwynn deathrattle - so it has to be assumed that in that case the minion does not get it because it has not yet triggered. We should somehow check for the opposite order to see how it works there.

deathrattles trigger in the order they are summoned onto the board. in this case the taelan came down first, so it drew the minion before the multicaster's aegwynn deathrattle triggered. nothing weird about it, this is a consistent game rule

The reason why the Tirion did not give the minion the Deathrattle was because of your order of Deathrattles. The Deathrattles should activate in order of play. That is why their sequence usually matters in decks that play around them.

Combo idea: RenoTK As a 40 Health Paladin: - Play Thekal to set your health to 1 - Use Silas to give your opponent a Soulbound Ashtongue - Play Blackguard and Reno Jackson to heal for 39 and thus deal 39 damage to the Soulbound Ashtongue for the OTK Of course, the hardest part of this combo is the mana as it requires 20 mana on the combo turn. So discounts from Thaurissan and/or Jeppetto are required.

“Farm easy wins”… ya I’m not sure. I’ve played this list about a dozen times and haven’t won once. Maybe I’m missing something but the deck seems painfully slow, too reliant on aegwynn, and I find that my hand is always filled with garbage until the death rattle goes off. I want this deck to work so bad but I can’t seem to make it happen, any tips?

Aegwynn is putting the buff on the top-most minion in your deck. The minion from Fordring will have the buff if it's the top-most minion.

Not...quite. Aegwynn buffs the next minion you draw, regardless of where in the deck it is. You can test this by dredging a minion, and Aegwynn will buff the 'bottom' card of your deck. The reason it didn't work is that deathrattles trigger in the order they were summoned, in other words if you play Aegwynn first, the buff will be put on the next minion you draw, and if another minion draws a minion with a deathrattle 'at the same time' it'll then be buffed, but if you play the drawing deathrattle first, Aegwynn will only activate AFTER you've already drawn. Or at least, this is how it should work with how other interactions do, I haven't personally seen it work for Aegwynn+draw specifically

Because the deathrattle states it applies to the next minion you draw, so if multiple deathrattles go off on the same turn they all land on the next minion you draw, and then of course the minions he put in the deck copy themselves so it automatically doubles.
