I'd try taking it a bit further and make the physics of everything a bit wobbly and stretchy, like an old Tom and Jerry cartoon. Aren't you meant to be visually stimulated when playing a game? If Superman 64, Spider-Man 2 on Gamecube, GTA 3/VC/SA or MGS had completely reworked animations to be simulated with perfect physics and motion capture fluidity, that would be a gamechanger moreso than a graphical overhaul.

You're upset about them making a topical joke about the gaming industry? Can you use your big girl words to explain what about this upsets you? Why would you think that you'd be entitled to a refund over a joke that didn't make you chuckle? Even if this was a traditional sort of venture, with investors sitting around a big boardroom table and discussing how they want to proceed... you as an investor or VC wouldn't get a dime back without selling your stake. You have no stake. Cease this buffoonery.

Now it's a PVP/PVE/life sim/automation/farming sim which is NOT AT ALL what I backed. They have totally done away with what was the game I backed, and it feels like it's all one giant joke to them.

My favourite part was when CEO wrote about 'Tasteful breast movements' right after explaining, that their goal is not to oversexulize characters, and they are just trying to make game be more realistic. They are trying to look so innocent, im sick of this. Im playing cozy games to avoid this kind of behavior, cuz im tired of games like Stellar Blade, Atomic Heart... Past few years feels like 90s, when they thought that only boys playing games. Even if it was the case like it giving them right to disrespect women....That's so sad.

This scandal actually opened my eyes to reality that this isn't a cozy farming game at all - it's an open world multi-player survival game with PVP like Rust or ARK. They are using the cute design graphics to trick people into thinking it's a farming Sim, but there are no open world multiplayer PVP survival games that are not just full of the worst type of "destroy everything you build because it's fun" players. It was actually the gross posts from the community manager where I learned this, after following the game for a year because it was cute. I really want an open world 3D cozy farming sim, (I've played Palia and My Time at Portia and neither game is for me, unfortunately.) So the scandal really ruined my hopes for this game in multiple ways.

I know AC is the king of games like this but most of the clones I've seen thus far have mixed reviews or die in the first few weeks, is it worth investing time into this genre?

They're not trying to trick anyone when, in an interview, the CEO said he's literally trying to run away from the "cute" label. He openly said there's much more to the game than "cute farming Sim". How's "tricking" people?

@@M_k-zi3tn Because a LOT of us original backers backed a 'cute cozy farming sim' not this mismatch of games they're slamming together. A lot of the alpha was giving strong original Harvest Moon vibs with cartoony cute graphics, and such.

1) why are you so angry? literally so weird 😂2) What are YOU talking about? Did you even watch the video? She said herself it could have been a joke from their discord. Not a great listener, are you? But regardless, even if it was a joke it obvously didnt hit and not surprising considering that most of the audience for the game is people interested in cosy life sim/farming games, not people who care about jiggle physics. Plus the way they phrased the initial questions and statements on their discord and their whole response to the incident did not make it seem like it was a joke at all. Which is fine, nothing wrong with adding jiggle physics or sliders for customization but the way they were talking about the sliders/phsyics just made it seem like they were being weird and icky about

@@tete-rh5xo The problem with your reasoning is that 1) You're making assumptions about his emotions, ones that seem a bit farfetched 2) It's obviously a joke, to pretend it's even possible that they weren't goofing off is disingenuous 3) You'll hear more about a joke "not landing" from shrieking weirdos than you will from normies who just smirk, exhale loudly from their nostrils and move on with their lives. As someone who played WoW for 10 years very happily until what was going on at Blizzard came out, which caused me to quit playing the game immediately (the pervy watching of employees breastfeeding nearly made me vomit), I am not going to buy this game, even though it had been one of the ones on my radar for quite a while. There is no way this company is worthy of my money, just as Blizzard wasn't. I'm just glad I found out now instead of after sinking 10 years into it. Thanks for the info. WoW had breast jiggle since 2004, nobody thought it was weird... because it's not. It's more weird when games have far more realistic and detailed graphics, but no physics or pre-baked animations... like Baldur's Gate 3 specifically.

I think the only thing I disagree with in this video is the post being "poor marketing" because as far as I am concerned it worked. Negative marketing is still marketing. I had never heard of this game until I saw this exact video. I am now one more person aware of the game, thus the marketing worked. Is it bad and in poor taste? Yeah for sure.
