Enjoy your videos. I now live in California but I grew up on a farm in Missouri. I remember we would run 15 sows and raise pigs. I remember twice my dad would decide to get out of the pig raising and he did. Each time, however, he always would always get back in. When it came time to take a pickup load of hogs to market, we would have a gate we used. There were vertical boards spaced the width of the gate. We would herd the pigs through the gate. If a hog went through between boards, it wasn’t ready for market. So we would end up with the hogs who couldn’t get out and therefore were ready for the market. Every time I see you sorting your hogs it brings back those memories. Thanks for your entertaining videos!

can you show a fall back pen with full grown pigs? would be interresting to see how the little ones got bigger. is there still a difference between them and the other onces?
@thislldofarm Жыл бұрын
Definitely can do that. Some totally make a comeback, some don’t make weight and have to go to a secondary market and some don’t make it at all. This group of fallbacks has done pretty good so far! I’ll update ya in a future video

So worried about your comfort with the weather and all while showing absolutely NO concern for these animals - painted, covered in crap and the horror is just beginning. Treating living beings like merchandise. Making your living by killing other sentient beings - among the top of smartest mammals in the world.

There's something wrong with this video, cause I know pigs are not getting nicer or smarter. My wife tells the kids that there was days after shipping pig at our place that she was thinking of leaving and I wouldn't have blamed her. We have made 40 years but the pigs left 15 years ago .
