Good morning Uncle. I gather chick weed,clover and oat grass for my rabbits, chickens,quail and turkeys every day. They all get plenty of feed but also get greens every day. Suporta ako sa gayan at nainterest ako sa channel mo dahil suporta ako sa mga local farmers saka ang channel ko ay tungkol din sa foods at pagluluto ng foods para sa diabetes. That is how my friend who used to grow chickens do with hiis vegetables, it is an organic way of growing chickens thus the eggs may be called Organic. Good job and keep on finding ways to reduce waste at the same time achieving an organic produce. I think you should wash the cabbage before grinding so that the nutrients will not be washed off after grinding.Thank you for sharing.

I think that with washing the vegetables after grinding it you loose significant amount of minerals and vitamins. It would be better to do it before grinding it.

Absolutely wonderful that you're able to gather the cabbage and vegetables from your local market 💚 Taking the time to prepare what otherwise would have gone to waste is definitely a way to save money and feed the animals fresh foods in their diet. I was fortunate with my farm to have a feed mill that would let me gather the leftovers after grinding and take to my some of my animals😁 I really appreciated it, because it did save money 💚 They help you, you help them and nothing gets wasted ! Doing these things is the best exercise too💪👍 Win Win🙌 I'm excited to see you share the ostrich farming!! I never had ostrich, but I have eaten ostrich eggs. Dexter, the water that you rinse the vegetable after grinding should feed the pig/cow to drink it because it has nutrition value. Pig/cow/goat eating on the food on the ground anyway. I didn't know that you have to wash the vege after you grind.

i think, its better to wash first the vegetables to keep the extracted nutrients after grinding or else save the extracted water and we can add molasis and serve it as there drinking water.

U can do one thing, gather hem/rice straw/ other dry straw , and set a light bulb on night. Insects will come on light and fall in straw. In morning , chickens will eat the insects. It's promote your chickens growth because insects are high value protein. It minimize the feed cost.(From Bangladesh)
