Happy to see a real farmer on YT. I have been farming my whole life. First in dairy and the last 15 years CSA produce pork, chicken eggs. I also rub a heard of 100 goats on a Targeted goat grazing service for land Management. There are too many homesteader teaching people bad animal husbandry and bad methods on YT. Juat because you own a couple cows 3 goats and children dont mean your a farmer. There is a big difference in make a a full time Career out of Ag and just grwoing some meat for your family. Marketing is a science. Having a man who is a reel farmer tell his market report is huge. He giving you all the Gravy Here.

This is great. We started our farm in July 2024. Did 700 broilers and 50 layers. Learned a lot having not done any of this before. Building as we go!

Good info. I know the beef market has grown considerably, but those numbers, I didn't expect. Its fantastic news. I'm just getting back in to cattle breeding, and I'm pretty excited about it.

Thanks for sharing those details. A few (nosy) follow-up questions: 1) do you know the % of your full/half carcass that had previously purchased your products ? 2) which products do you think yielded the highest & lowest margin/profits ?

I went over my goal list for 2024 and made a new one for 2025 yesterday. Its a great way to recap the past year and also see what areas need extra attention in the coming year

LOL I get a kick out of you southerners talking about snow and cold. ( I live in Nova Scotia Canada) But when I say how hot it is in August 85 degrees F. You all get to laugh right back.

Great work, man! Thanks for sharing what’s working. Do you think you’ll be able to speak to what didn’t work as well?

I realize I am not your normal viewer chuck. I love ALL you content. I am an engineer/rancher so I have juggled both professional and homestead duties. That said, I think a few out here wouldn't mind to hear You and Sandras story. How did the two of you hook up and what backgrounds are y'all from. I know from a past vid Sandras mom had a small farm.Love to get a timeline without infringing too much into the personal. Of course miss Sandra let on about her jade tableware fetish, no judgements here...

Thx Chuck another great video on Farm Facts, which includes profitability . I know you are currently employed, but one day soon, hopefully, you can just enjoy the farm life. I struggled for years about leaving my corporate life, but I'm glad that part of my life is finished. Now, I'm learning a new way to live being fully self-employed and loving it . God bless and keep up the hard work. No doom scrolling!!!

What were your low sellers and how do you handle that disparity in inventory? That is, you're selling a lot of chicken breasts, that leaves more leg quarters in your freezer each month. How do you readjust the inventory?
