Tom Tom rebuilds a 43 year old Dana 60 axle from an old farm truck. The axle is stripped down, cleaned, tubes are welded in, the knuckles and hubs are rebuilt and new 4 link brackets are welded into position. This will be the new front axle for Dig Dug with a pair of 40 inch Mickey Thompsons.
Merch is released and the new website is up and running. Checkout it here ---

He's the only one that doesn't show us the same thing over and over or explain the same thing 10 times but not even show what was done. Tom actually tells us what he's doing then does it and moves on instead of telling us not showing us and telling us again. Sorry but Robby and Matt are the worst with this

Dig Dug will be rolling high and proud. This will be an awesome truck. Great video production too. One thing for your analytical mind to ponder, smearing sealant around with a Q-tip. It will shed cotton fibers into the soup, they can prevent faying surfaces from mating. Those pointy things at the end of your hands work well for that. Put on a nitrile glove if you can't tolerate the mess. Keep up the great work!

That huge Allen wrench you talk about, you most likely have already. It's called a ....wait for it.... a lug nut! Works great! IIRC, I used the lug nut off my Dana 60. the lug nut, and a ratchet or impact, works awesome. Oh, and my go to place for ALL my one ton needs, is East Coast Gear Supply ECGS, great guys to deal with! Another idea for driving in a race(bearing cup...proper name) is to use the old race(bearing cup) to drive it in. Works just fine, just have to go slow, to keep from driving it in "cockeyed"

I don’t know how long Timkin has been making their bearings/races overseas, but there is a Russian guy that pops up on KZbin once in a while. He mostly does videos showing everyday family life. Anyway, part of it includes car maintenance. He does what he can on his own, which included replacing front wheel bearings. He installed Chinese bearings (cheap and available), they disintegrated. Then he installed Russian bearings, about twice the price but not much better. The whole time he was looking for American made bearings and when he found some Timkins, he was over the moon happy and gladly paid four times what he paid for the Russian parts. So glad that we have what we have here in the USA! Even good stuff in our junk.
