You might not want to use injectable ivermectin next time, i would recommend the pour on. Especially if the mites are not the blood sucking type.Also the ivermectin injectable stays in their system longer which can cause the mites to become immune to it, and milk withdraw is longer. We’ve had to deal with mites as well, I feel your pain. Every winter early spring they seem to come back. But I find that giving them bathes and applying the topical kind helpful. I also believe that the injection type is unsafe for pregnant does so you gotta be carful with that.

breeding goats seems like an interesting task! Is it normal for an adult to nurse on her mom? That is so weird!

Not normal! 🤣 there’s nothing necessarily “wrong” with it but it does take a toll on the health of the mama since she’s feeding an adult goat lol.
