I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin in the 60's and 70's. My grandpa bought a Massey Harris Ferguson 50 and it turned out to be a wonderful tractor. I punched above its weight for sure. We used it for everything. Plowing with a 3 bottom plow, running the baler, everything. It was the go to tractor. It was painted like a Massey Harris. Brown cast parts, red sheet metal.

Thanks JT for the tour. I have about 90 acres of soybean here in North Carolina. It looks like you may have some Manganese deficiencies in your sandy field. You can apply some over the top and it will green them up. Worked for me.

Great video! Here in Scotland it sometimes feel like it has been raining for the last 365 years 😅 You really are the massey whisperer. Getting given them to you now. Tidy enough little 12 . Those lawnmowers are thin on the ground over here and they always command very good prices. There was a 10 in nice condition but non running it made just under £1000 pounds. Your crops are looking really good.nice corn for a first go! As usual I am looking forward to the next instalment!😊

I forgot about driving around checking crops. Our farms were spread out over 7 to 18 miles apart that's when we farmed about 700 acres. So there could be alot of differences in fields. Some tile could surly help you if the property owner would invest in their land. All in all your crops don't look to bad, you should average out okay. But painting and selling tractors might pay off better. I had a brother that lived in St John's Michigan and it alway tickled me how the streets in town were all nicely paved but get a little ways out of town and you have dirt roads. I see it's the same where you live JT.

Hard to complain about rain here in Oklahoma, I guess I wouldn’t know what that’s like😎. I figure as long as it’s not harvest time I’ll take as much as I can get short of a flood. I lived in Iowa during my childhood and helped my uncle and grandfather on the farm, never heard of that double ear thing you talked about. Everything I recall all the stalks had two harvestable ears. The C is looking sharp.

Living the dream, man... even when some of it's a nightmare. Still, I'm envious. I'd love to get my hands on a small assortment of old equipment and a little piece of land and just get into it. Maybe someday. I'm close to your age (rapidly approaching 47 this year), so it'll probably never be a living for me, but if I could make that my retirement, I'd be okay with it. And if I can get into it as a hobby before retirement age, I might have a fighting chance of enjoying my twilight years after all. Thanks for the tour/update! Nice to see that at least most of the crops are looking hopeful despite all the extra rain. Here's wishing for a drier, breezy late summer and fall.
