Yes you read the title right this truck only has 55 original miles on the odometer. The story of the pickup is in the video . It could use a good cleaning but is in exclent shape for being a 1975 model with ONLY 55 Miles on the odometer .

IHCs. are wonderful trucks that actually were meant to DO REAL WORK; not operate as fashion statements which is why the US military, state agencies and utility companies bought them wholesale. 50+ years after IHC dropping their light duty truck line people still remember them fondly as well they should. Great video. Thanks for posting.

Very nice, new truck with 55 miles out of storage. What a deal. I thought my 74 with the American Motors 401 V8 factory installed was low mileage 64,000+ when I bought it. Take this pickup out when this gets cleaned up some and you will get many compliments all the time.

It needs a good cleaning and some brake work and it would be roadworthy

Vinegar in water scrub OFF that mold real easy and it will stay off. Looks like my 78 J10 that sat most all its life in a garage, had about !/8th inch of dust from sitting all those years. Cleaned up well and even the under hoof paint waxed up shines like the day it rolled out of the factory unscratched!! Love these old time capsule SURVIVORS.

Great presentation. Keep up the work of showing little known history of a great company and including more than just their tractor’s.

Man, what does a person even do with something like that? It is so cool I'd want to drive it, but if you drive it, it loses a lot of what it is. Thanks for sharing.

That is some find , 55 miles. I thought I found and bought a low mile truck , about 12 years ago , out of southwest Daskatchewan , a 1970 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive " camper soecial " kept inside a shed , No rust , 19660 original miles ,farm estate sale.Trailered it home. Everything works , now at 21,000 miles. 345 engine , automatic transmision. Mine , the seat upolstery is pristine , lucked out in that regard.

That's something to have. I'd like to have an IH pickup one of these days. Neighbors had them years ago. We had ton trucks and bigger.

Most new vehicles on the lot, have more than 55 miles on them due to test drives. The color choices were a lot better in 1975 than they are today.

I member them. Pull up to a stop sign and a fender falls off.

You may be confusing them with Ford. IHC's were the best ever made.

@@shopdoc I'm referring to the last part of the production run before they shut down. If you don't want to admit those were shoddy, OK. The ones they built in the 60's and before would outlast any of their competition. Kinda liked gas though. Like a GMC V6.

No it’s okay, I’m not nearly as familiar with the 70’s models. I owned a 52, 57, and currently a 61, so those are what I have experience with. No worries.
