I'm working in an underground company doing lift stations and manholes I used to drive a 20-something foot International lodestar flatbed with a gas engine I believe it was like a 304 or something don't quite remember but she was a beast. That gas engine and a 10-speed Road Ranger she would run down the highway loaded down with concrete structures and ductile iron. I'd have to say one of the best trucks that I've ever driven. The one you have is newer and bigger but basically the same thing. What a beauty

Fix it up. Replace all the brake components. Replace any pumps. Find an old trailer box. Fix that up. Make a camper out of it. I lived in Tucson in from 95 to 06. I lived is several apartments mostly around Northgate area

Awesome truck! Not many Single axle road tractors around, those engines are very hard to kill. a lil tough on parts! Remarkable condition for 225k! Around here in MI you'd be lucky to get a truck like this for under 12k. Lets see a detail on this or more footage!

That truck is from Tucson,I worked at Desert IHC when they sold it to City Van Lines, before Horizon bought them.If I remember right,it's a 392 ,a really good and strong engine. Thats a really cool truck.that distributor is a Prestolite if I am not mistaken.

I know this video is over a year old now, but it's a good idea to have a ball peen or a big ass wrench in hand when turning over an engine you're pretty sure might have a stuck float. If it starts to blow gas out the top immediately grab the throttle and open it up to keep it running, and start beating the ever loving shit out of the float housing with whatever tool you have in hand until it stops flooding. This way you can avoid most carb fires, and possibly something worse than that if it gets out of hand

The cubic inches is stamped on the right front side of the engine I think just below the fuel pump. It could be a 345, 392, 404 or I think they made another size bigger but I'm not sure about the number. Maybe a 446. I had a 1974 set up just like that with a 392. Sold it regretted it ever since. Would be interested in that one if its for sale.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Those old IH Loadstars we’re quite unique. I remember the bakery in my hometown using them. Cool trucks! That hand valve is a trolley valve for the trailer brakes. It is so cool to see these old trucks still running or reviving them is wonderful! Not surprised that the fuel lines were brittle. You could’ve saved some or all of the rear tires, but that’s how it goes. Glad that you got it running again! I shall look for the next video on it. I’m so impressed that the cab was in such good shape, being in Arizona or not. Good stuff! 🥰😎✌️

Not trying to be a know it all but are the plugs all in the right order as it sounds like its still misfiring... that said, a valve adjustment if its got adjustable rockers. I have seen these with bent push rods and that can cause running issues like bad idle and terrible throttle control. It should have the same firing order as a chevy only counter clockwise as you said. Lots of transformations on these rigs as they went from the 345 and 392 engines. I had a lot of trouble using the holley carb and used the edelbrock and just things came right together for the starting and idle, plus good throttle response... I really would peek under those valve covers tho cause they were commonly known for bent pushrods. Another thing that bugged me on those engines was the oil pressure was almost like a tachometer as it jumped up and down. I loved how much those trucks were capable of doing. Nice cabins and good steering. I always kept a international around for my grunt work... most of my rigs were kenworths

Great video! I've got a Fleetstar 2110A that I'm working on getting to run in Brighton, Colorado. Very similar to this truck! 478 engine with the single axle. What is that lever that says "not for parking" on the wheel column? Still trying to figure that out!

I drove one of these 2110`s, it was a 73 with the 478 CI Engine with a 10 spd Road Ranger, 2 axle Dump truck. 2, 50 gallon Step Tanks, got 3 MPG, but it could really pull. Also had the Butter Fly Hood. Loved driving it. Today we couldn`t afford to feed it. I love the cab style of the one in the video. really didn`t take too much to get it running for as long as she has sat. Amazing condition for the age. We also had a 67 with a Detroit Diesel 6V53 Allison Trans. 2 axle Dump, also had the Butter Fly Hood. Air Filter Housing came out the side of the Hood and sat Horizonally in a depression on the fender. The size of a 5 gallon bucket. Keep up the work on this truck, love to see any later Video`s.
