On the Riverbend map sawmill I had a hard time selling wood but I figured it out. I parked the trailer on the dump zone by the water. The sell trigger is the ! as usual but it was up by the building full of lumber. It's near the NPC, the same building he's standing by. Around the south side of the building hidden by some lumber pallets is the ! trigger to sell.

Aha, thank you very much. I assumed it was auto-sell, and even tried backing the trailer into the water to see if it worked like FS17.

@Skorpychan they changed it not too long ago. The sell trigger is on the steps of the building near the water I think.

Started cleaning up the trees on my farm and had so much wood I built a sawmill. Holy crap, I made so much money. Definitely a must for such little work.

Yeah I did the same. I started with one of the small ones but it was to slow, so I eventually sold it and built the 300k one. Just sold an entire flatbed trailers worth of lumber for 147k. Feels good.

Important thing to know, if you are using logs from the dead tree logging missions for the mills, you need to get all the logs “in” the mill before collecting the task rewards. If you don’t and you collect the fee, all the logs you are sitting on will disappear

They will? I did a deadwood job last night and collected before I sold the logs and they stayed right where they were.

Thanks for the info. I’m rather sick of game crashes. I hope they can fix the game soon. It would also be great if for the medium saw mill they moved the log input further out so it wasn’t under cover. The small carpentry hut doesn’t accept wood so that needs fixing too.

Hi! just an idea for a video. I think it would be interesting to see a time comparation regarding cultivating a field, for example, between FS 22 base game AI, FS 22 with GPS mod and FS 25 base game AI. Same size and shape field, of course.

Is it safe to assume the distribution function only executes if you currently own the production that requires the production product for one of the available recipes? What if you set the production parameters to distribute but you don’t own any of the other production sites? Would it continue to store the products or select one of the available sites randomly?

Apparently no one answers this question, can you sell the buildings you build yourself after producing the lumber, concrete, etc. and building a farmhouse or something? Essentially being a self sufficient construction company?

What happens if you purchase the one and only sawmill on the map and then take wood transport contracts? Do they ask for delivery to you and you keep the profit?

You'll deliver to random places like the paper factory, but not the sawmill. You can, however, take deadwood from the contracts to your owned sawmill!

Something to note, you can auto load wood chips into a trailer instead of loading pallets

Where do you sell the woodchips??

Pull up and press R to fill a trailer. You can sell wood chips in a couple places, check the prices for selling in the menu and it will show the locations on your map to sell

I dropped pre fab walls at the grain elevator on riverbend springs which is marked as a sale place and i have sold there before, this time it just says stored and i cannot figure out how to sell them. any help?

the 300k sawmill will have its pallet spawn taken over by wood chip pallets. there is no way to get chips out other then pallets because its not a production and therefore you are unable to set them to selling or distribute(its xml file has a todo section for wood chips). have fun moving a hundred wood chip pallets a year. if you are on PC its actually not hard to make a mod for yourself that adds a wood chips production to that sawmill which will allow you to get around the issue.

Yeah I found that on riverbend springs, even tho there’s a silo that the wood chips are meant to be stored in it make a pallet, ended up finding wood chips in the filltype.xml and removed the line for woodchip pallets, now works fine

Hi! In your production spreadsheet, for some multiple input productions (like Cakes), you didnt sum input price for all ingredients, and makes whole calculation inaccurate.

Video coming soon, you actually lose money on the wool rope production and barely turn a profit with cotton. Better to just sell the cotton

@@FarmerCop Fix the recipe if you can find a mod. As with many things Giants dropped the ball. There is no way that a game should be released to lose money by doing extra steps, why even put it in the game? Every step should add value. Just saying

Do you need to cut all the branches off the tree before taking it to the sawmill? Or can you just drag it as is after cutting down?

Divided / not divided -- How can you tell in the game if we don't have your spreadsheet and without testing and turning on all the items. There is no indication on the production screen.

Did you have the lumber jack mod? If so, having super strength on causes the tree to be deleted.

please answer if you can when I plant trees they seem to grow and then disappear befor I even try cut them down any ideas, is this meant to happen, is it bugged I checked again plant them x360 and yh befor I even see them fully grown they disappear please let us know as I love the forestry side

It is a bug, should be fixed in the first patch for the game, apparently the only way to get around it at the moment is to plant the trees, fast forward time until they are fully grown, then save and they will stay, but the game doesn’t like the second growth stage currently

Wood chip are infuriating! Get a grain trailer and it will fill from the pallets so you don't have to deal with small pallets!
