why is filling pages your main goal? quantity over quality is not always a good thing?

Focusing on quantity instead of quality is a well tested idea in creative fields. I didn't come up with the idea but I subscribe to it and have seen beneficial results when following it. For me it really helps me get over perfectionism. Also repetition is one of the most dependable ways to learn. Focusing too much on quality causes many mental obstacles.
