Rick you figured it all about parking in Italy: white is free, blue you have to pay, yellow is just for residents of the town. There's nothing else. Also great job on the window. Didn't I tell you before? ❤

Richard, what a perfect mix of everything you can do with your children. Work together, hang out, sunbathe and swim in the sea or just take it easy and hang out. As we always said, your small balcony is a perfect building/bedroom👍. The window will be perfect and what a nice view it will be. On my first holiday to Italy I decided to have a haircut and it was quite an experience. Apart from the language problem I had two older men fighting over who understood what I wanted, but it turned out to be the best cut I've ever had, to this day 😂👍

I'm thinking of your daughters swimming in the sea how beautiful an experience that was for them! That memory will be with them for the rest of their lives. When i was 12 my mom dragged me to Europe to meet her family and I truly did not appreciate it. However the memory that is strongest for me (50- some years later) is that of swimming in the warm Adriatic and how beautiful it was. What a wonderful thing to have your daughters with you and exposing them to travel and different environments. They are such lovely young ladies! Kudos to you for having them share in your adventure and your lifestyle!

Hi Richard! I'm a little behind on commenting on your videos, but still waiting for them every week and watching!!Thank you for introducing us to your daughters...they are so cute! This is an awesome video and it looks like more fun than work was had...which is what you needed I'm sure! I bet it was fun showing them around and just hanging out. I'm always a little sad when my kids leave to get back to their own lives. I only get to see one of my 3 on a daily basis (my middle son). My daughter lives 2hr away (and I work FT, so not much time to go there), and my youngest son lives in Ohio... 2800 miles away from me in Ventura, California. The new window really looks great! And the reflection! Wow!

And ... worrying about leaving some girls sunbathing and nattering on an Italian beach? ... they're loving it, they don't care 😎 Tip - that 'wedding cake' building in Rome (Monument to Victor Emmanuel) u can get a free entrance and lift up to a big viewing balcony , overlooking Rome... and get a cheap lunch in the Cafe , right there.

Hey mate, great content as always. I had an idea if you're putting in more of those windows. Maybe worth making a light wooden frame to the exact dimensions of the new window. Then you can insert the wooden thing as a test to make sure it fits? Save the heavy lifting etc ; ) All the best mate.

Do the little wooden bits under the window stay there and get sealed in with mortar or expanding foam or something? Just realised I had no idea how windows actually fit in place. Also, lovely seeing you with the kids. I've got a 3 year old and hope I can show her as good a time as you did for your kids when she is older.

Hi @huwtindall7096 . I used the wood just to get the window in place. Once I fixed the window with screws into to the side and top brick I packed the bottom with plastic shims that won't expand or move. That expanding foam is supposedly enough but as it can get windy here I made sure it was fixed with screws also. 👍

(Re the falling pear... you could've made that into a very dramatic moment, told us it was a snake or some forest creature, as we would never be the wiser. No, no. That is not Richard's way at all. He's so humble, he wouldn't want anyone to think he was lying, not even if he disclosed it later as a "tall story", I think anyway, because I have a similar style about me. I don't want to be putting people off coming to help by scaring the bejesus out of them with snakes and wild animal stories! 😂 It has taken me a while to get used to the new sounds that I hear when here. If I catch a scary one on camera I will make sure to put it in.👍
