And on the skid steer tires, we have the 2 rear tires going the opposite direction and that way I can get traction if I have to Dig myself out and Use the bucket to help with the push out and At first when we got the bobcat and the tires were all the same direction and was getting stuck and so we got some new tires and had the 2 back one's switched around and I can go about anywhere now......

I normally place a tea towel on the back of our dining room chairs and hang the noodles. Sometimes, I use a clothes drying rack.

Enjoy your day in the life vlogs but then I enjoy all our visits. I usually do my reading at night because I’m so distracted in the mornings knowing that I have a full day of stuff. At night I guess I know it’s down time and the words seems to stick better. Of course with all Hunnys current health issues I am talking to God all day otherwise I couldn’t handle what’s going on here at the Ulrich retirement cottage. Canning season seems to be starting to ramp up for a lot of us although my garden is a bit behind with all the cold weather, dry weather and then the downpours that just keep coming here in the middle of the mitten. Today being Sunday, the sun is shining and God has given us another beautiful day to enjoy. Blessings abound even during our rough times in life! It’s so nice to see MacKenzie embracing the art of building up a pantry from her gardens. Most young people her age are barely living a life outside of electronics. There certainly is hope for our younger generations! Love the farm life…never any time to be bored that’s for sure but then retirement doesn’t allow time for boredom either. Thanks for the visit and thanks as always for enlightening and entertaining me!!!:):):)

@acresofclayhomestead we had one similar but it didn't fold up in Arizona. you could start hanging them inside to outside and around and if it was breezy you could keep going around and take them back down dry. I didn't hear what you said about the bull bottle calf in the middle with the noise or wind. what do you use for tea? always things to do on the farm and the milking and feeding, cleaning are always waiting. still a good life with the family. farm kids are good strong kids and can do what needs done.

Do the skid steer loader tires wear out quickly. We had Kramer all wheel steer and 4x4 loaders they are a great tool with all the attachments. Maybe you could get one on trial.

Busy! Busy! Busy! We got a little more glimpse of your new kitchen island. Looks pretty nice. We never had a dishwasher. My brothers and I would take turns washing and drying from time to time. It all depended on the workload outside. This video brought back memories of growing up on the farm. Milking the cows and doing chores, had to be done day after day after day, etc. Always loved the fruits of our labors from working in the garden. Also loved being able to make fresh ice cream any time we wanted to.

Happy Sunday Ronda and family. This was an excellent video to post for those that might not realize what a day in the life of a farming family consist of. Many do not realize how many hours a day are put into this life style. It's not a 9-5 job, it's a daybreak to whenever it might end depending on what happens during the day or what season it might be. I have many days when I miss the craziness of the life. Also, would gladly trade some of the rainy days we have had here in New Hampshire for some sunshine. Farmers here are way behind on haying and crops are getting to the point of nutrients being any good for the hay crops.

I am somewhat surprised by this video not because of anything in it but in the fact that it could have been made in our house, we are dairy farmers in Ireland and except for the opening few clips ( my wife is never first up and I check the springers) it could be my wife’s day . Aside from the irrigation and the fact that our cows are outside on grass the general routine is very similar, we have breakfast after milking etc etc. I I have often wondered how you guys are going to sort out your succession plans we are at the moment trying to plan for our next move and give the “kids” ( in their 30’s and parents themselves) the opportunity to do their own thing with the place, we are in our late fifties so thinking about retirement ( I only milk once a day now as the old shoulders ain’t great) . I know you guys are a lot younger than us but are you big enough to employ all your kids or are you going to have to make though decisions? Over here it takes about a hundred cows to generate an income for a family so we are lucky enough that we have enough to keep our two sons and ourselves in full time farming ( but both our daughters in law work off farm ( I say “ daughters in law “ because that’s how I see them if any of them do decide to get married)) that’s another thing over here in the last couple of decades people don’t get married much before having children or getting houses etc and truthfully they don’t ever go to church either not that I can preach on that front. Anyway I digress is succession planning a thing in America is the basic question?

Yes, the boys could and do live off the farm. Eventually, we will have to figure out what the guys want to do with the future of the farm, but as of right now... everyone is enjoying the way things are at the moment.

You can say what you want but a work day on the farm is better than a work day in a shop. After 45 year's of working as a toolmaker I retired in 2015. I then realized I had a passion to be a farmer and that was my real calling in my life. Good team work everyone, God Bless everyone and stay safe. 👋
