This is a great series. I actually enjoy farming this way. I have small farms, except my dairy farm, and use older equipment. I actually enjoy driving a lot of the equipment myself. Reminds me of how my grandpa and uncles used to farm. I do use AI occasionally, for the field prep mostly. Glad you’re feeling better. Thanks as always for all your hard work.

I really love this series, nice to have you back to. That machinery give me so much memories. It works in real life to. We used it on small fields to give the cows new fresh grass

To keep from driving in the grass, start the field clockwise with the tractor at the outermost edge. Then just cut your way in. The edge is always cut last, so dirt and such has time to fall off. You will then end up with only one lap around the field driving on grass, whilst you have two or more doing it like that. I’ve used a Taarup direct harvester for thousands of loads in real life.

I know I'm late, and I don't know if you've since picked up on it, but the reason for the lower yield on the first field is that grass has another growrh stage after it is initially 'ready to harvest'

Another great episode. I heard you use the term hose pipe. In the southern part of the United States that’s what we call it. Our northern neighbors will correct us a tell us it’s a garden hose. Keep up the great work.

You need a straw blower, you can't use bales, and the trigger doesn't show, but it's in the middle of the cowshed
