We always mount those tanks with the tall part towards the cab and the toolbox behind it. Our thought is it’s better weight distribution and easier to get in the tool box

Yeah the problem I had with putting it in that way was dealing with the house all the time either on top of the box or over the side of the truck. We’ll see how it goes

This house we bought in Missouri, these people thought they were fixing problems with not knowing what they were doing. If the old owners were doing this fuel tank they would have cut the wheel wells out so the tank would fit. In the bathroom instead of replacing the handles on the drawers they notch the door for clearance. Instead of chalking the basement windows with tubes of silicone chalk, just install a bigger gutter and guards since the back of the house is close to 30 feet up.

He's keeping the driveway gravel in the driveway. I took a bit of flak when I plowed snow as a kid for NOT doing that. 10 hours with a bow rake taught me how to plow snow on my parents driveway! Education isn't cheap 👍 Great video, Andy. &🍻🎂

Yeah I like your custom tank, having that thicker plate on the bottom of the tank offers a better support also so you don't get any vibrations in your metal while traveling ,so you get less rubbing on medals for wearing through or cracking. I had a tank crack on the bottom before from rubbing and vibrations between the medals. I use a piece of rubber tire under it between the bed and the tank and that has worked out good for me. Also I don't like noises of any kind and I like to keep things as quiet as I can on the vehicle.

I like how in-depth you get with your videos. Like the fuel nozzles. My boss always wants me to greese equipment as I'm fueling. Which I can see doing something other than standing around. But I don't trust any click off nozzle. Ya never know when it's not going to work.

Nice job on the fuel tank that came out really good. I agree with you on the swivels. I've got them on both ends of all of our fuel hose. I don't remember where I got the last ones but I noticed they're all starting to leak a little bit now. A couple of our service trucks I have set up with fuel tanks and I've got them wired to the trailer plugs with fork pockets on the bottom of the tank so the guys can take them out of the truck. Seems to work OK then they can just plug into the seven pin round on the back of the truck when the tank is being used. My truck it's wired to the Upfitter switch like you have there. I like that back rack a lot. Awesome video man

I had a similar problem with the new aluminum Ford bed. The engineers made the front bottom corners such a large radius, the bed is narrower than every other pickup bed that's been made for say the last 60+ years 🤦🖕. So I built some 3" spacers to get the corners up over the large radius bed corners. It actually helped as well because of the other engineer choice to build the beds deeper than they have been made for the last several decades as well. Good luck picking up a hitch or tool down in the bottom of the bed nowadays.

truck is looking nice. upgrades made the price go up. in the day dad would add a rack on the back put a cb radio in it mind you 2wd truck winch and a hay spear on the rear bumper to haul hay in Texas at 10 I thought that was the toughest truck around. He sold that truck after the first hay run 4x times than the build i was mad but he built more i didnt understand at time build one next is nicer and so for

The tailgate support wires look a little on the slender side when you consider the leverage with someone standing on the pull-out steps. Hoping you don't end up on your back again if the wire(s) fail. Andrew is one great asset in your family. Good on him, but I hope he doesn't trip on his hair getting into the tractor. (No offence meant as my hair was longer than that many years ago).

@@FarmingFixingFabricating The company I work for outfits all the Forman’s trucks where the nozzle connects to the hose with quick disconnects. Eliminates one swivel and you can remove the nozzle if you want or have a problem with fuel theft.
