Not much fun dropping doors, especially in the summertime. Back in my farming days we didn't have high moisture corn, but had alfalfa haylage and corn silage in upright silos. The alfalfa silage chute was always a miserable climb in the summer.

Well Andy I really do not envy you climbing up in that silo and lowering the unloader and emerging covered in dust. The dust is nasty stuff, but those silo's can be dodgy to work in on your own. Another fine installment!

On the bottom feed roll that plate on the bottom we were told it was a corn plate and not to run it with hay for rocks coming through. There is a rock guard to put in it that we are trying this year. Seems to be helping
