Farmington River Nymphing Early June 2024

A good day Nymphing in medium flows and slightly stained water! Nice mix of bows , browns , brooks and my first ever Palomino! Again the Walt’s Worm on the point with a light pink bead did most of the damage, but the Jack Daniel’s on the dropper did well also! June was a good month for me with two consecutive trips producing over 80 plus trout overall! On this day I was very surprised at the ratio of brooks to the net ! Weeded out lots of small ones to get a few nice ones , with a couple of good ones that broke me off ! Overall an enjoyable and memorable day ! Thanks for watching!

@@josztroutfishingdiary7350 Yes, Up until July it was outstanding, heavily stocked , slowed down a bit now , but should pick up in the fall which is my favorite time to fish ! Thanks for watching ❤️👍

@@JohnLee-ud2gm That’s a great question . I’ve had days when it seemed like that , and it was fish on consistently! But for the most part I have to put in the work to have a successful day ! Fly selection, reading water and adjusting to river conditions are key for getting into good numbers! Appreciate you watching, hope you enjoyed the video 👍❤️

@chasinbowsnbrowns3652 personal Best was a 24" on a #16 bead head caddis larva with a #18 or #20 pheasant tails 10" behind. Caught and released healthy at the boneyard. She hit in the riffle above the smooth water. I've lost bigger. No matter the size, all these fish are unique in their own way. Tightlines brothers. P.s. Female Brown trout. Length and huge gut. 👍

@@Richard-du7yj Awesome 👍I lost a couple of huge bows in high water that took me downstream, and even though I chased em , a few headshakes and jumps and they were gone! One was at least 28 inches plus! Love being in the game though, no matter how it ends ! Started using the Jack Daniels in a size 16 which has been lethal on the dropper!
