I just bought this door. When it closes, it then opens 1/2 way then closes again. Any idea why?

that is the Anti-pinch feature... it's a feature on all chicken doors so that a bird does not get stuck in the entryway.

Mine has been working well for over a year now. Don't buy the original kits that have the control and solar power in the same unit. Absolutely junk.
