Ole Farmtruck is a true gentleman. He was spinning, spinning, spinning. He let off three times in an attempt to regain traction. He laid rubber all the way down the track. Luckily for the other guy (showboat) Farmtruck had a little too much power for the track.

@customvideo454 Mid-10's was a few years ago with a 502. He has a high-dollar nitrous 632 in it now. I believe it's firmly in the 9's at this point. That Vette easily runs 10's as well.

Love all the comments about how the Vette owner "shouldn't be proud of beating an old truck" and "his lightweight Vette beat a heavy truck", etc. Hate to break it to you folks, but first off, that truck ain't that heavy. 3800lbs stock, so maybe 4000 with him in it. The Vette was a bit over 3500, plus the mods and with that fat dude in it, they are probably within 2-300 lbs of each other. Second, that truck has a $25,000 632" 2000hp nitrous motor in it. Loads of mods done to it to make it hook, but he put it all in an old, beat-up wrapper. There's no shame in losing to that truck, he has as much money in it as the dude has in his Vette, probably. Definitely more if you just count mods. So yeah, I'd be proud of beating him, however it happened, and whatever I was driving.

The farm truck is actually a brilliant drag platform. All that overhang in the back makes it easy to put just the right amount of pressure on those drag tires. Then the engine bay is mostly open since its rear wheel drive which allows for any engine build you could put in it. That super long wheelbase helps with keeping it straight with so much power. With that said the amount of power in that truck is monstrous

These Guys remind me of my younger years back in the '60's. We'd all get togeathe r on the Old Taneytown Rd....it was a place to get togeather, talk engines, pass a $20 Bill stuck on the drivers side Window. racing is racing. Yes the farm truck broke loose but have you ever drove a high horsepower Corvette? Do you even grasp the concept of how hard it is to catch traction in a Corvette like that? Furthermore the motor inside of that truck it's nothing cheap. It's built balls to the wall. I do believe if he would have hooked up the farm truck would have took him. but just because it has an old rusted body doesn't mean much. It's still running full racing suspension, transmission and motor. I think the vet driver was proud he won because he knows the true potential of that truck.if they can get it to lock up all the way down the track it's probably just as fast if not faster than Corvette. This is also a famous truck so I'm sure the vet driver is fully aware of its capabilities #don't judge a book by its cover
