Just trying to keep it together, partly her being a pro, and being aware of the issue. But a mess underneath. As for having fun? Part of her maybe, but she knew that this is not normal. Hence trying to keep everything together. Quite visible behavior to any investigator, familiar with a body language, or a pro psychologist/psychiatrist. The signs are there, and you cannot make them more obvious (not during TV interviews, unless you go for somebody like Chris Farley - when it was obvious, even for blind people, that he was high during some of his interviews). edit: spelling/grammar

I viewed the whole interview. She was NOT high. She seemed a bit ditzy because the audience kept laughing at every little thing she said. Letterman is the most horrible interviewer, he's go attention deficit disorder it seems. He keeps making stupid cracks and interrupts her train if thought. As for the moment she looked at the backdrop, I believe she really hadn't focused on it until that moment and it appeared to be a he was on something. I really don't believe Farrah came across as an Einstein, so for her to get her thoughts out verbally might have been a challenge for her given the people that kept taking away from what she really wanted to say.

I remember watching this live. I was deep into an LSD trip when someone happened to turn it on, and I remember it made me feel geeked out and awkward for her! I was like omg, she's tripping out as hard as I am while on live TV! Poor girl! Ryan O’Neal happened to her. He was a fighting his own demons and very Narcissistic and I am sure he was most likely emotionally abusive to Farrah and that takes its toll on anyone. She probably was anxious and had a little bit to drink to reduce her anxiety. I think she handled it well despite her being a little spacey. She was very sweet and never lost her temper or get belligerent like how Ryan would get under the influence. People need to cut her some slack. As far as Dave’s behavior he is like with other people too, look at his interviews with Drew Barrymore.
