It's still in early access... but yes this game has continuously improved since I first bought it in September 2023. Grim Dawn was superb and still receives updates nearly 10 years later, so I expect this one to continually get better.

Take your time to iron out the bugs etc. This is legit one of the most fun city builders I played since the Pharaoh/Cleopatra era.

I have put over 100 hours into this game. It is beautiful and detailed and extremely fun to play. I have played city builders for over 15 years and this one stands out as one of the best. It can be frustrating to find a map that is fun to play on. There seems to be issues with finding a map with plenty of water and no maps have any form of river system. So you wont be able to build a city along a river but you can find large lakes after some time. You cant curve walls at the moment either, hoping an update brings that. Other than those couple issues the game is stunning.

more optimization please. it became more lag as you progress through the game, super laggy when you reach tier 4 town center. I thought it was because my potato pc couldn't handle the graphic, but when i set it to the lowest possible it still the same. my pc can handle modded Banished with thousands of settlers. otherwise i really enjoy the content. keep up the good work

I've played this game a bit. It's enjoyable but just in case anyone who reads this is a fellow hearts of iron / total war fan like me, if you're looking for combat satisfaction you won't get it here. Unless things have changed drastically (and based on this trailer I doubt it) combat is very simple. Nor will you enjoy it if you are a star craft or age of empires fan. As a civ builder, it's decent and an enjoyable experience.

I remain a bit cold due to the simple fact that the image of the nice, rounded wall they use as the main illustration for the game is IMPOSSIBLE to build in the actual game - all the walls and fences are fixed to 4 directions so you can never achieve the fluid angle differences you would need to create a town like the one you see. It always feels like a bait and switch.

An ok trailer, but the ending was clearly faked. 😅 That town at the end of the video doesn't look practical in any way and doesn't represent a realistic gameplay scenario. A tower outside the wall on the end of a cliff, lmao. Even if there was a road placed there, nobody would be able to get up that steep hill. And so many other things that town snapshot that don't look realistic in comparison to the real gameplay.
