True that! My dad was reversing the safari dicor while it hit a pole. Thanks to the spare wheel. No damage was caused, I'm sure that if there was a storme there would be a direct impact on the tailgate as well as the bumper. Don't know but Tata motors smoked shit while making the Storme. Atleast spare wheel at the tailgate would've been an option in the Storme.

I hve a safari n i hit dat at 160 around n its gd.. I never faced any prob.. I jus love it.. Its a legend.. It has super control we r in politics so we hit high speeds n turn at high speeds its got super grip n super road presence.. I n passengers never get tired on long tours its super comfortable.. Driver view is the best.. I have a skoda too which is too gd in feature n power but stil i love safari dicor more... Scorpio is 3rd class n fortuner has lot of body role we hve all in our convey.. Safari dicor is the best SUV, infact the best car I drove ever in my life. Fortuner has a poor seating, storme isn't as stable as dicor. This car offer me the most amount of confidence on highways in high speeds. At last, broad tires, tinted glass and roof top hella lamps. No car in the world can match it in appearance.

@ don't buy a used safari, still if you wish to go, get it scanned only at Tata authorized service station. Maintenance is normal if you find a good mechanic locally. And pity issues are always there in any Tata vehicle.

Any day VX is much better. But u have too pay more on it. ONLY VX MODEL HAVE 2 AIRBAGS ABS WITH EBD LEATHER SEATS. ALL 5 ALLOY WHEELS. EX ONLY HAVE DOUBLE AC. NO AIRBAGS,ABS ,EBD,ALLOY. AND MAJOR THINGS VX HAVE MORE POWER U WILL FEEL WHILE DRIVING. BUT TRY TOO BUY 4*2 NOT FOR 4*4 B'COZ 4*4 VERY LIMITED SAFARI SOLD . So clutch parts and some 4*4 parts are not available in market not even in tata service center.

Boss I owned Safari Dicor GX 2010, trust me my friend who own all feature loaded creta or duster or eco sports or even Verna ask me to give my beast for long drive (No disrespect to these cars) Safari is simply an old monk. It's more than a vehicle its a feeling. The movement you put ur feet on its footrest and climb up on its driving seat the adventure begins. It gives millage of 14+ in city 16+ on highway no car can replace it. its really supper car the only problem with this car is power windows wont go up fast .at a stech i drove it for 1550 nonstop from Delhi to Hyderabad ( without stopping the engine) that was the great experience to me but i sold my friend(safari)due to personal reason years back i realy miss him a lot

May be the wheels are not aligned properly. I drive TATA ARIA, I had similar issue of keeping the car on line and regular input needed to steering to keep the car on line, went to my known alighement shop, to my surprise I found both the front wheels were way of the limit, after adjustments, now the steering feel is much much better.

4x4 steering has been tuned to do that, less response and need to be turn more, so that it would be adaptable in offroad conditions, otherwise just one step over a rock will turn the steering like crazy.
