Anything that weeps. Last year I bought a Falling Waters Bald Cypress (Dr. Seuss tree) and I just purchased a Weeping Pussy Willow. I'm obsessed with the growth habits of these trees. Love your videos, thank you.

It's so funny that you released a conifer video today. I just finished watching all of your Conifer videos just 10 minutes before you released this. 😂 I love your videos. I just subscribed 2 days ago, especially the tours of people's homes. That really gives me some ideas. Too bad you're not located here in Arkansas, but at least you're in my same zone.

I’d love to see a video incorporating conifers in a landscape that has essentially none. My house is surrounded by 100% hardwoods with a good deal of landscaping that is almost no conifers, native or ornamental. We live on the other side of Lincolnton and will be stopping by!

Great video Justin! If you had to plant a conifer in a small space (tree can't exceed width of 3' max) would you choose a Jantar Arborvitae or a Lemon Cypress? I've had LC on my list for awhile, but the JA on this video has also caught my eye. I know that a mature Forever Goldie would be too wide. Thanks in advance for your input!! 🤩🌱

Yvonne, Bruce here. In case you don't know me, Justin and I host tours of different landscapes as well as at my place. Which you can see on YT. Where do you live? if you live in our area or a place like us in the hot humid South, definitely go with the Jantar. Lemon Cypress trees hate our humidity and require very specific watering habits. They are sensitive to either over watering or under watering. Most people around here treat them like annuals and grow them in containers during the winter. I've been growing some in containers for three years now and I'm constantly cutting back dead foliage. Never been able to keep them in the ground for over a year. In containers its easier to control the watering but its laborious. And constantly checking the soil for getting them watered at just the right time.

They sold the fat Albert in my zone 9a Jacksonville, Florida and I got it. It will be in a big pot for a year or two and will get morning sun. We’ll see how it does, I’m hoping it survives our summer.
@bruceduncan17928 ай бұрын
They should be fine. That is the only blue spruce I'm aware of that can take your climate zone. And, they do well in containers. I know folks who grow them in containers, large ones, indefinitely. And in your area, that might be the best way. Thanks for letting me butt in. Justin and I do video tours together of my place and others. Which you can see on YT.
